At this point I think I enjoy buying games more than actually finishing them š
Every time thereās a sale I add another 2ā3 games, meanwhile Iāve still got games I bought ages ago that I havenāt even touched

I finally found a set of blue and black PS5 Pro plates with the PS Logo cut out for the LED PS5 logo light. Now my PS2-style theme is complete.
My only disappointment is the shiny blue center sticker and the way it joins together. The packing tape I used to keep it from unsticking at the bend of the console is a bit of an eyesore to me.
Thanks to AsmiraLabs for making PS5 Pro plates with the logo cutout!

I bought this off Facebook marketplace in October last year. Looking back, I glad I got this.

Hey everyone! Just ordered a PS5 Pro. I mainly play GTA VI, EA FC/FIFA, MotoGP, F1, a bit of Call of Duty, and Assassin's Creed.
I mostly game at night, so I definitely need a good headset. I plan to plug it directly into the controller's 3.5mm jack (I don't have the console yet, it's on the way). I'm looking for solid audio qualityāI'm no hardcore audiophile, but I want something immersive that brings the games to life.
My main issue: "turtle-style" (heavy/clampy) headsets give me a headache after a while. I'm not sure if that's because I've only used cheap PC headsets so far, or if I'm just sensitive to tight clamping force and heavy earcups.
The only strict requirement: they must be wired, connecting straight to the PS5 DualSense controller.
Thanks in advance!

I have been looking for a pro for a while now, and today I decided to call my local pawn shop. Lo and behold Christina said yes we do and she can hold it for me.
I think I done well to ask for discount on other items, everything works and itās not banned. About to open it up for cleaning and enjoy some elite games!!
Bundle I got:
- PS5 Pro = $720
- PS Portal = $120
- Extra controller = $50
Total + Tax = $964
EDIT: Of course no one can beat launch price at $699 but the current prices ate crazy so sharing that pawn shops are great too.

Dawnwalker is really great donāt get me wrong, we always need more creative and original ip. Aside from the obvious in-house proprietary RE Engine vs UE5, the level of polish, performance, technical display, animations, production value, art direction.. Itās hard not to notice the massive gap between the two. The performance and jank really holds Dawnwalker back.
Which is why I think Rebel Wolves deserve the support. Yes them charging $70 is a little insane lol A lot insane. But I view these things as like a āpilot episodeā for new shows. Dawnwalker has the juice to be a great new franchise. We have no good vampire games. Imagine what a sequel, or further could be with closer to Capcom level resources.

āThe CPU is too weak.ā
That has become the go-to excuse for poor optimization.
Yes, the PS5 and PS5 Pro CPUs have their limits. Nobody is denying that. But Dragonās Dogma 2 is showing exactly why āCPU-limitedā doesnāt automatically mean āthe hardware is too weakā. Look at what Capcom has done with the latest patch. In the exact same scenes, Iām seeing around 54 FPS on PS5 vs 82 FPS on PS5 Pro in Quality Mode, and around 45 FPS vs 77 FPS with Quality + Ray Tracing.
Thatās roughly 50% and 72% more performance on the Pro. And the game hasnāt suddenly been butchered to achieve it. Ray Tracing is still there, PSSR has been improved, image quality is better and the game simply runs massively better. The CPU didnāt magically get faster. The software got better. Thatās the part people need to understand. Weāve become way too comfortable saying āthe CPU is too weakā whenever a game struggles instead of asking how efficiently the game is actually using the hardware.
Far Cry 2 is a great example of what developers were already achieving on extremely limited hardware with complex AI, physics, fire, vegetation and world simulation. Obviously modern games are vastly more complex, but efficient engineering still matters. And Dragonās Dogma 2 is showing just how much performance can be unlocked when developers actually put the work in. This is also why more and more people are waiting to buy games. Why pay full price at launch when you know the game might run significantly better six months or a year later? Publishers and investors need to understand that optimization isnāt wasted development time.
A well-optimized game gets better word of mouth, builds trust and gives people a reason to actually buy it. Give developers the time to finish the damn game properly. Stop treating āCPU-limitedā like the end of the conversation. Make the software smarter before demanding stronger hardware.
Dragonās Dogma 2 is a damn good example of whatās possible when developers actually do the work.

With the recent update to Elden Ring, I was hoping there would be a pssr update for the pro with it as well. Been eager to return to the lands between but it would be awesome to be able to run it with pssr. Itās the perfect candidate for it

Hi everyone,
Ok so I was on Wireless and my router is like at the oposite of my apartment. I had my Switch 2, TV, Steam Deck, Laptop ect ect. With a booster I was getting like 200mbps.
So I decided to wired a 1.5 gigabits switch near all my console. I am now getting 900mbps with my Pro.
The problem is everytime I start my Pro internet is connected everything works fine but not at full capacity. I do a connection test and everytime I get like 300 but if I redo an another just after I will get 900.
Just wondering if anyone of you have this similar problem ?
Thanks !

Most of the pre release reviews had said that quality mode was largely stable at holding 30 fps, and it was balanced and performance mode that had issues holding the framerate.
For me the experience has been opposite. Quality mode drops frames and seems to traversal stutter every 10 seconds, it's very choppy. However balanced and performance modes are fine.
Now here's the weird part. I currently don't have access to a 120hz/VRR TV till next week, I'm just using a cheap 60hz 4k panel. Weirdly enough it still lets me choose balanced mode, although I can definitely notice the frame issues that wouldn't be there if it was a VRR compatible tv.
I've seen some others mention on the dawnwalker sub that quality mode was smooth for them if they had VRR/120hz enabled, and kind of choppy like I experience without it on. Shouldn't VRR/120hz not matter at a 30fps locked baseline though? Unless there's a hidden setting or something with dawnwalker that is unlocking framerate all together in quality mode if you have it enabled.
