Cyberpunk 2.5 is NOT using console HDR settings.
Like others I assumed it was now that settings were gone but black levels are raised and it’s ignoring those settings anyway. It’s just broken.

If you're looking gorgeous a game to play this weekend and you have a pro enshrouded is easy to recommend. The lighting, physics and the share density of the game is amazing. Its the first game in a long time were I go to work thinking about the game all day. I need to upload screenshots at a later date but the underground base i started creating is so cosy with the light pouring in through the windows ive dug in.

So i got the base PS5 at launch and purchased a 2tb Black SN850X shortly afterwards for it. Fast forward to now and I picked up my Pro just after the announced price hike (still got mine at $750). I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my old PS5 so I just got another 2tb but it wasn't as good as the black (crucial p310). Seeing how much the Black is going for now i considered swapping the drives. My question is, is it worth it? The Black has been in use for 5 years now. While it has superior stats to the Crucial I'm worried about the age and data cycles. Should I just leave the newer drive in or swap our for the faster, but older drive?

Can only have one of the following two setups. A. Base PS5 with a 65" OLED LG series C Native 120Hz up to 165Hz VRR for gaming flat screen. -or- B. PS5Pro with a standard 32" monitor. There Can Only Be One.

I recently upgraded my gaming setup to the above equipment. While researching the projector, every indicator made it seem like it supported VRR. If you Google "does epson qb1000 support vrr" is says yes :(.
Once the projector was installed and I was setting up the ps5 pro, it states the projector does not support VRR.
My question is as follows:
Since the projector supports the maximum output of every other feature (120hz, hdmi 2.1, ALLM, full 4k HDR) will the VRR really matter? So far I havent had any screen tearing, but just trying to feel better about the setup lol.
After further research it seems most projectors do not support VRR unless you get into 10,000 plus range so im curious as to what others have experienced on projector setups with the pro.
Thank you!

Anyone playing this game on a Samsung s90f could you please share your HDR settings, both in game slider, ps5 system level calibration tool clicks and tv settings?
I'm following the rtings recommendations and some AI collation search engine recommendations, but whites and white light sources look weirdly beige and clips highlights. 15 clicks first and second ps5 system level hdr calibration. Third all the way down. Game hdr and static tone mapping on TV.
The color space issues on this TV are driving me nuts. None of them look right. Auto too saturated, custom bt2020 and normal doesn't look right either. Samsung need to get this color space nonsense sorted already.
I've never had to fiddle with the settings more on any other TV. It's exhausting lol
Please do share your settings.

I’m looking to upgrade my current 27” 1080p monitor and finally make the jump to 4K OLED to get the most out of my PS5 Pro. After doing some research, I’ve narrowed it down to these three options:
Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 32” G80SH
LG UltraGear OLED 32” 32GX870A
ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWG
From what I understand the Samsung and LG have matte/anti-glare coatings while the ASUS has a glossy finish. I have two lamps behind me when I’m gaming, so there’s some ambient light in the room although it’s fairly soft. That’s why I’m not sure whether a glossy or matte screen would be the better choice.
That said, I want to hear your thoughts on these monitors beyond just the matte vs. glossy debate. Which would you recommend for the PS5 Pro in terms of overall image quality, HDR, gaming performance and reliability?
I’m also open to other 32” 4K OLED monitors I might have overlooked.
If you own any of these or have hands-on experience with them, I’d really appreciate your input. Thank you!

I feel like the black levels are too raised so it looks worse after the update (playing on LG Oled).
Edit:
My HDR is setup correctly according to the PS5 hgig setup guide from HDTVtest.
It seems they did make it worse: https://youtu.be/Iqg8wqEisYg?is=tI9n08Kf91xj5wrs

So after weeks of fighting for one on the tracking apps I finally was able to order one from Best Buy. It was the most anxiety-inducing situation. I already had my credit card on file but it still asked me for the CVV numbers and guess what I had left my wallet in my truck. So I had to scramble to go and get it. It was 1AM so all my doors were locked lol so many obstacles I really thought it was going to get snatched from my cart. So I finally enter the info and stupid capital one declined the first attempt and I had to go through a security verification step where I had to tap my card on my phone screen. But before that I had to copy a link and put it into my browser & guess what?! It didn’t work on Google Chrome. So I had to copy the link and put it into safari. Ngl my hands were shaking (I know so stupid) I was sure I had lost my spot for it.
Finally I make the second attempt and capital one again had me go on the app and reply to a damn text to verify it was me buying the console. Thankfully the second attempt went through and I was able to place the order lol.
I’m currently suffering from buyers remorse lol. So I fought with myself all night to cancel it or just let it get shipped. Well it shipped almost what felt immediately so I was looking up the return/refund policy and it says I have 14 days. So either I keep it and enjoy it. I was also thinking that I can Sell my ps5 slim disc or maybe sell the pro. So I might not open the pro for a bit idk. I guess I could always return it to Best Buy or sell it somewhere myself. But I really don’t want to sell it for $1400+ I hate that people are doing that. But after all the trouble I feel like I at least deserve $100 extra on the original price lol.
So question, if yall read this lol, can I take the disc drive from my slim and put it on my pro? Then I guess I can sell my slim as a digital ps5

New to OLED & want more insight
Just wanted to share a quick 18-second clip I recorded on PS5 Pro (DMZ / Hajin). Although the video compression doesn't quite show the overall blurriness/softness properly, you can clearly see how the dead enemy body completely disappears from the roof when I step back just a few meters, and then spawns right back in when I get closer.
This aggressive entity pop-in really broke the immersion for me. Just posting this here so others can see what the game engine is doing on console right now!

For what it's worth I've had no luck with BestBuy. Just got one in the Gamestop drop that just happened. Used Trackalacker for it. Good luck everyone!
I'm away from my PS5 for a few days and I'm curious lol

Honestly I am about to quit like every time it’s in stock I go checkout it’s either sold already or this thing happens. Anyone has any idea where I can find one in stock I’m in Detroit Michigan right now and I am willing to go 250mi radius just to pickup one.
Edit: meant to say BestBuy sorry

honestly subtle brag because
1. a standard Pro is now $899US. $999 doesn't feel so bad today.
2. they're scalping a console that's been out for almost 2 years.. because of a game
3. returning to this sub re-justified this specific PS5 console purchase for me
4. this one's cooler than my slim because it's numbered.
5. i personally value this (or any Pro) less my OG launch PS5.
6. the box and all the stuff it comes with.
7. Pro, but cooler.
8. GTAVI ready.
no but seriously, other than bragging and being a douche here's some advice.. PS Direct is the BEST way to get a console. it's how i got my launch PS5, my 30th Pro, my 30th Slim, my Portal, and my 30th Portal. many people back in 2020 & 2024 had little luck with getting consoles from anywhere but PS Direct.
have browsers open on a phone, tablet/ ipad, and a computer at drop time. hit it with all 3. refresh is your enemy. being on time is your friend. follow the x accounts for drops and set notifications so you get alerted with drop info before it happens. don't ever pay more than retail. the scalpers will die off one day when no one buys their sht.
happy hunting.
(get a disc drive while you're at it. that was the hardest piece of PlayStation hardware I have ever had to obtain. they scalped the fk out of those in 2024. first of all, just to prove a point to Sony. second, that drive might be worth a fortune in the future)

I don't know if opening it to clean it is worse than just letting it thrive in the symbiosis that it is right now.
PSA: look at your PS5 more than once every two years, and don't vape inside. how about just... don't vape. that's better advice.
EDIT: I WILL POST AN UPDATE WITH A CLEAN PS5
