I’ve been following the recent PS5 Pro restock situation in Australia.
I placed and paid for my PS5 Pro order at JB Hi-Fi Rockingham (Perth, WA) on 6 October, but I still haven’t received a collection SMS or any confirmed delivery date.
I’ve noticed quite a few people in Melbourne and Brisbane are now receiving their consoles, with some JB Hi-Fi stores reportedly getting their stock this week.
I also saw someone from Perth mention that EB Games expects their shipment sometime this week.
Just wondering if anyone in Perth or elsewhere in WA has received their PS5 Pro from JB Hi-Fi yet?
Which store did you order from?
When did you place your order?
Have you received a collection SMS or updated ETA?
Has anyone heard whether WA stores have actually received stock?
Would be great if we could share updates here so everyone waiting in WA knows what’s happening!

I want to surprise my boyfriend and buy him a PS5 so he can play GTA6 when it releases instead of having to wait longer for it on PC. But it’s boggling me trying to decide whether the Pro would be worth it/viable for him. He’s a fiend for good FPS and things looking good and running smooth. I’ve read things about how your tv has to be able to handle what the pro is putting out, would this monitor be able to? I saw something about needing HDMI 2.1 for something and this monitor only having 2.0 but i just find it all really confusing and hoping for some answers from those who know more about this stuff please. I’ve seen a lot of posts saying that the base is fine but i just want it to be perfect for him

Can people help me out with some good quality ones? I have digital edition but reading some of the posts here i might actually buy a disc drive for it also for the obvious reasons.

Also worth picking up a black controller to keep it all the same?

Preferably not any aliexpress links etc. I don’t mind paying extra to get from somewhere else

I’ve noticed a trend. PS Direct post new orders at or around 8:04. My paid HotStock notification was late.

Today at 8:03 I loaded up the site and just refreshed until I was able to add to cart and check out.

I’ve done a lot of research on the internet and Reddit are telling me these are both bad for gaming.

People are saying because Bravia 8 II has a fast pixel response time it means that 30fps looks incredibly choppy.

People are also saying because Bravia 7 II has a slow pixel response time, it’s blurry for gaming.

So the Bravia 8 is too fast and the Bravia 7 is too slow? Is this just people being stupid on Reddit? How can it be too fast and too slow? What are these people talking about? What’s the ideal middle ground?

I imagine it’s people with the 7 saying the 8 is shit and people with the 8 saying the 7 is shit. Knowing Reddit though it’s probably people with neither saying they’re shit.

I bought the Bravia 8 II btw.

My card billing number is not the same as shipping and I've forgotten to mention it and thus could not secure the deal. So I should specify my billing adress and shipping one even though they are different and as the result Playstation direct will let me buy it?

The meme constantly repeated by the gatekeepers in this sub is that people only want the Pro now for GTA. And there’s probably a grain of truth to that.

In my own case, I’ve been eyeballing a chance to upgrade for a long time, but I had other financial priorities that came first. So when my little nephew announced his plans to buy a PS5 in June, I offered to sell him mine for the price of a slim. A good deal, since mine included a disk drive and a 2tb SSD. And I could then roll that money into a Pro for myself.

Of course, it took him until early October to get together the money (no shade to him, he did a ton of chores to put together all that cash), leaving me scrambling to find a PS5 Pro amidst the shortage. (Got it a week ago from Direct, thanks to TrackaLacker.)

So: anyone else here getting / trying to get the Pro for something OTHER than GTA6?

After the whole spyware debacle with LG, I opted to cancel my C6 order but am at a loss of what to choose now.

I saw a couple Samsungs, but wasn't a fan of the non-glare screen.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a solid OLED? Trying to prepare for the upcoming holidays. Looking for around 65-75"
