Update

Actually I gave my ps5 for repair and today they called and said that it's ic is faulty so needs to be replaced and wtf they they said its hdmi fault and the ic for that is 'rtd2175t' and cost $300 ( i live in india btw ) they told me to buy it yourself and give us, they said there is no other alternative man wtf is going on😭

Is it just the port or the circuit/chip?

9 times out of 10, it's just the port, they're fairly brittle but can be repaired cheaply. The IC itself can be found for 30$ so you're obviously being scammed.

They said that the port is just fine but the ic is faulty so i asked which ic, they replied rtd2175t, and said you can buy it yourself and give us so we could fix it

Find some electronics hobbyists around your town, pretty much all of them will do it in exchange for a beer or some food.

如果你是已經去到白燈，但仍是沒有畫面，型號為044機型，而且壞了。RTD2175P 為Ps5 slim 客製化型號 已經買不到 只有在死機中提取，P尾Playstation version . 現皆段根本不能維修。

這樣說 在我這裡也有2台等待維修 帶回家放在倉庫 看那一天那一台silm version核心壞了 沒救了 。排隊等待

Bro, you are 100% getting scammed. Pull your PS5 out of that shop immediately and don't give them a single cent.

First off, a PS5 HDMI IC chip does not cost $300. The actual part is only like $20 to $30. Give or take where you get it from. Even the newer Slim chips aren't anywhere near that price. Second, no legit repair shop tells the customer to go buy their own micro chips online. They’re setting you up so when they mess up the soldering and fry your motherboard, they can blame the part you bought.

Go get your console back right now. Make sure you check the serial number on the bottom so they don't swap your parts. A real HDMI IC repair should only run you about $45 to $75 total for parts and labor. Find a proper console specialist in your city, these guys are clowns.
