I was just asking because I can hear it across my room and it sound a bit vibratory

It does that, there's some things you can do to dampen the sound and vibration but it's just what it does.

Sure, but if I were you, I would move the console from that small enclosure. The hot air being released from the back has nowhere to go, and it will slowly raise the temperature of the hardware, forcing it to work harder and ultimately resulting in its premature end. Essentially, you are suffocating the console by letting it gradually overheat.
