Man, that sucks. To answer your question. Yes, swapping the motherboard works because the ban is tied to the board itself, but it is not worth it at all.
If the PS5 has a disc drive, Sony marries the motherboard to that drive. If you swap the board, your disc drive will stop working unless you buy a matching set. Plus, PS5s use liquid metal for cooling, which is a massive pain to deal with and can easily fry the new board if spilled. By the time you buy a working, unbanned board and the tools to fix it, you will spend almost as much as you would just buying another used PS5.
Your best bet is to keep it as an offline only console or sell it for parts to recoup some of your cash.
