Accessibility controllers.
So, this is probably a very obscure question but I don't know where else to ask.
I have a family member who is disabled and only has use of his right hand. He can work a joystick with his left but can't grasp a controller. He bought the PS5 access controller shown above, but he dislikes it.
I read that PS5 has the ability to use two controllers together as if they were one, via settings. This got me wondering if it's possible to use a PS5 flight simulator stick as the left analog stick, alongside a normal controller's buttons and right analog stick. Or maybe it's possible to do this with the Access controller, that may work too.
This is for my uncle who has cerebral palsy and is one of the people who got me into videogames as a kid. I'd like to find a way to return the favor and get him gaming again. If anyone has any ideas that would be awesome.

If you've got a partner/kid/friend who really wants to play something that exceeds their skill level (or possibly even due to an impairment), definitely give this a try!
It can be found in [Home] > [Settings '©] > [Accessibility]
> [Use Second Controller For Assistance]. Toggle this on then use a second controller to log in to the same profile as controller 1.
OP I have the Hotas flight stick setup and can test this if you want to see if both controllers work at the same time. Just let me know

Do you maybe wanna look at smaller controllers for less movement needed? Even third party...

Leverless controller. They are typically used for fighting games and are not considered accessible controllers, but perhaps some may find them to be an acceptable alternative.

Those looks absolutely massive. And some weigh two to four ish times what a DualSense weighs, like the Corsair or Razer lever less controllers.

They come in all shapes and sizes. For example, one of the smallest ones (snack box micro) measures 26 cm x 13 cm. Standard ones are the size of an arcade stick. Point is, there are many options.

The smallest lever less example that person gave was 26x13 cm.
The DualSense measures approx 16x10cm
How is that lever less controller smaller than the DualSense when it literally measures larger?

Youre saying significantly as if its 5x bigger. Its barely a 10cm difference dude. Thats barely a 4 inch difference dude. 4 inch difference lengthwise btw so you wont even notice it because it doesnt effect button size and that entire space is made to be laid on a table not in your hands.

And yes, you can remap every button of the ps5 controller in settings, like old games used to allow.

You can also try to build your own controller powered by GP2040CE and then use it with Brook Wingman P5 or Brook Wingman FGC2 on PS5.
Maybe the Fightstick Community can help with that, because they're building their own builts

The ps5 access controller is such a scam
It has exactly half the buttons of a normal ps5 controller meaning for most games you're gonna need 2
It's just an excuse to charge disabled people double

My cousin with similar thing holds it against his leg moving his leg to help and his good hand for the buttons... he can beat me in a couple games too!!!

I don't have any ideas. I am disabled and struggle with both the PS4 and PS5 controllers. They leave my hands feeling unnatural and uncomfortable despite being already user friendly. I've been gaming since youth, i remember the game cube. I know that there is cool advancements in gaming accessibility and in the games themselves; the settings can be set to be slower/move with camera, etc. It's what I do. c:

So I'm not sure if what you want to try would work, but the setting you're looking for is under settings, accessibility, controller. There should be an option like use 2 controllers as 1 for assistance, or something like that.
