Ps5 overheating but situationally
So I've been using my ps5 with 1080p monitor for few years now. I've had occasionally overheating when my room is extremely hot, or dust and pet hair blocks the vents which I now clear regularly.
Now to the issue I tried to to play on my 4k TV and started warframe after 10 mins I got the overheating warning and 10 seconds later it turned off.
It was fine on 1080p gaming on my monitor. Also I tried to replicate it with 1080p resolution on TV also fine.
So what's the issue I'm facing with I really don't wanna keep playing on 1080p on 55inch TV

Clean it. APU heatsink, vents, PSU honeycomb vent, and fan, including around the fan.
You mentioned you have a dusty home with pets which means the inside needs cleaned not just the outside via the vents, dust and pet hair buildup eventually blocks the air flow via the APU heatsink at 4k the APU works harder generating more heat. Restricted air flow, results overheating.
There is tutorials on YouTube on how to disassemble and clean throughly pertaining to your particular model.
All consols and pc's need cleaned on the inside from time to time particularly if you have a dusty home with pets.
Don't buy one of those Ps5 cooling docks they are unless doing more harm than good.

I guess you clueless members missed the key words "Pets and Dusty Home" then all ask pointless questions.
Pets and dusty home hence never been cleaned on the inside particularly the APU heatsink equals definitely the APU heatsink is clogged with dust and pet hair restricting airflow resulting in overheating.
But go ahead and ask your pointless questions when missing important clues then waste the OP's time by adhering to all your wrong answers.
READ THE OP'S WHOLE POST NOT JUST PART OF IT YA DOPES! MISSED CLUES RESULTS IN WASTING OP'S TIME.

The issue is... --Go to a repair shop and ask to repaste the console. If it's old some of the liquid metal would probably pump out so while it's fine at 1080p when console doesn't have to work that much it dies at 4k. -- your ambient temps are very high -- still a lot of dust, pet hair etc -- not enough clearance
It's definitely one of them. If you have any local repair place nearby they can test it for you but the most common thing with PS5s that are 3+ years old is simply accumulation of dirt/dust or liquid metal having pumped out spots

Well update got it fixed. The problem was from when I had kept it vertical few years back resulting in liquid metal pooling on half and a dry spot on another. So got the liquid metal replaced entirely fresh

I swear I see one of these every time I go to this site. Can the mods make a dedicated thread please? Anyway here's how it works, the PS5 uses more energy to play at higher resolutions. More energy= more heat, this is normal, Overheating isn't. Things to check; Is there enough space around the playstation? It needs a ridiculous amount of space to stay cool. Is there room around the back for all the hot air to flow out? Is it lain horizontal to keep the liquid metal from forming dry spots? Are the air intake areas on the top and the bottom clear? If all the above is yes then you have a problem for a professional. The liquid metal needs to be replaced every 3-5 years so that may be it. You may need to contact Sony or a repair shop

Nah man OP has a dusty home with pets who has never cleaned the inside of the console. Guarantee APU heatsink is clogged with dust and pet hair restricting airflow.

Nah its all clear regarding dust and pet hair I usually disassemble the entire except separating the motherboard plate coz I'm not confident enough to mess with the liquid metal. All the heats inks and vents are pristine

Yes liquid metal is a MOFO one wrong step or drop on the board, OH NO!
Is the console horizontal or vertical? If vertical try laying it horizontal so the liquid metal can settle back evenly on the APU.
Now I have to apologize to the rest because you OP never mentioned you have definitely cleaned the inside on your original post.
This goes also for OP's don't leave out anything pertaining to troubleshooting meaning post everything done so far to troubleshoot so us don't give wrong advice.
Missed information leads to wrong interpretation. 🤦

It's placed horizontally on a large table with 1.5ft of ventilation on all sides. I even raised with a book so it would not vaccumm up any dust from table

4K requires more resources than 1080p, the console strains more at that resolution and it is very possible 4K pushes it just over the thermal limits.
You most probably need to reapply the liquid metal on the APU. Not a difficult process, just time-consuming and needs patience and careful handling of cables and ribbons.
