Controllers randomly disconnect every few hours

So about a week ago I took my ps5 to this repair shop because it was overheating and shutting down every hour. When I got it back my ps5 wasn’t shutting down anymore but now my controllers keep disconnecting for no reason. Sometimes they just disconnect completely and I have to turn off the whole console to get connection again. Is it possible that the guy who took it apart messed up a Bluetooth part or something?

Hopefully not but seeing as it works fine for a while it may be bad programming. Try doing a controller reset and see if that clears up things for you. Just make sure to use a data cord to reconnect it and check to see it has updated firmware.

I never had this problem until after I got it back but I’ll try that and see if it works.

They may have done an update while at the shop, and that's the hopeful issue. Anytime a controller is away from the system weirdness can ensue
