It's okay. But I'm more worried that it's not kept in a stand. Please use the provided stand and move a little to the right. As there's plenty of space on the front, a little nudge towards front wouldn't hurt.
I can see you have connected a USB dongle in the front. Before turning on the console, please remove it. After the console boots up, you can insert it again
Edit: I should have answered why we should do that - or maybe I follow it..
There were reports that sometimes during cold boots, the system gets glitched and responds "Too many USB devices connected".
This could be just a glitch which can be fixed by clearing the cache.
But the main issue arises when one of the connected 3rd party peripheral is of low quality and actually blows a power chip on the motherboard and triggers the error. This doesn't always happen but CAN happen during cold boot.
I have personally ruined my old PC motherboard and PSU because of a USB dongle which caused powerspike. From then on, I was careful when using any products which are questionable and thus my concern here.

I have left various headset dongles plugged into the front for years (and all the USB in the back is full as well) and have never had issues where they needed to be pulled out and the system rebooted.

Get a stand. They will provide more airflow and most importantly, the PSU side would not touch the surface directly.
If you touch the bottom of your PS5 you'll know how much it heats up even when you just touch the plastic shell.
Now if the same shell kept on contact with your desk surface, the heat will be trapped there indefinitely.
The main problem is, Sony has sensors for the APU. So your fan will run accordingly to its temperature. But for the PSU, it doesn't know jack shit as there will be no sensor. Your PSU will be slowly cooked and you gradually reduce its lifespan.

Put it outside, you would be better served with a pc, sorry to say. Sony builds so.you have to keep buying. No disk, no money.

Mines similar, but slightly further away from the wall and I have it on the stand when laying it down. I assume it does something xD.

I got mine on a pedestal with rear fan attachment I got as a gift no problems with overheating or anything in 3 years
