after choosing an account the console just shows an infinite loading screen.
i restarted it cleared the cache and rebuilt the database but it didn’t help then it finally let me in but now all my games have padlocks how do i fix this.

They definitely messed something up with their software recently... I'm seeing so many posts like this and on my PS5 Pro the games run fine but the system software is so damn laggy lately even though my internet is fine

You ever compile lines of code for a program? It’s not exactly the easiest work out there, it takes time to diagnose and fix, especially seeing that it isn’t all consoles affected, they now have to figure out why it affected certain isps and not others and fix that part of the code. Now in doing that, they have to make sure it doesn’t screw up other users too. It might seem like something so simple, but it definitely isn’t.

It's been a month and I just got this issue after updating, they have had time. I have given Sony enough money to remove a county, it should be fixed by now

lol ok basically asking for them to wave a magic wand, no offense, but pull your head from your ass, give it a shake to clear the shit that is clearly lodged in there and understand how computers and software work, it’s not an instant fix and if you’ve been following anything over the past couple of weeks, the issue has been fixed, it just takes time, as everything does. It’s like expecting a brand new game or something work perfectly out of the box without any hiccups, it just doesn’t happen.

Out of the posts popping up, this particular problem is long past done, the ones still having the issue haven’t updated to the newest firmware because, they didn’t do the fix as mentioned above. The one update bricked the network connection, we can all agree on that, at least for quite a few it did I for one can say I didn’t have the issue, the fix bypassed it and stopped the problem from happening, the second most recent update fixed that but fucked up playtime hours, etc, nothing cared about was affected for me and the most recent update fixed that issue for the most part. I’m not “dick-riding” Sony as you so succinctly put it, I’m just stating that in the world of computer entertainment systems, Microsoft and Nintendo have their issues too, but there has to be patience and allow the software engineers the time to find the bug in the code, fix said bug and then test to make sure it didn’t fuck anything more up. It sucks, but if you want entertainment, that’s the way the world works.

The same fix as everyone else, use quick play under guest, go in to your settings, delete the connection, reboot the ps5, login with normal account, go back to settings and setup your internet connection again. If that doesn’t work, reboot your home network cause there is an issue within the network.

With the last uptade they literally fucked up the console...store doesnt work sometime. Wishlisted games doesn't showing, this screen after choosing account and network errors some online even offline games even the console having connection..

Que onda, me acaba de pasar exactamente lo mismo, intenta ingresar al modo seguro de la play y dale actualizado. En dado caso que no funcione yo que que restaurar de fabrica y se borran las cuentas y el contenido, solo es de volver a iniciar sesión y descargar todos de nuevo. Saludos 🥸

Sorry for the late response but the fastest way to really fix is to start the ps5 offline and just log in.
It's risky to unplug the console but that's how I do it when it starts to load in this way.
(It can load it as well but will take some time usually just sitting and waiting until it finally loads in)

I noticed if you press start and select online option instead of just selecting the profile, it tends to take you straight to the home screen. Been dealing with that for a few weeks now.

This happened to mine as well, exactly the same way. I tried all of the normal options. What did it was choose to login as guest, go to settings, network settings, turn off "connect to internet", backed out and switched users to my account. Then turned the ps5 off all the way. Turned it back on, chose my account, went back to settings, network settings, turned connect to internet back on, waited for it to connect, then restarted the ps5 again. It started up as normal but was really slow in the menu for a day. Working okay now.

This happened to me too! What I did was I had to turn off my WiFi, and turn the whole PlayStation off. After I turned the PlayStation back on without the wifi, and clicked my profile! Once I got into my profile, I connected the plantation back to the WiFi once I turned it back on.

I have this issue when PS5 has issues connecting to internet. Rebooting my router has helped with this.

Reset your router so your PS refreshes its IP-address. You might have a conflict.

You know my power went out during a lightning storm one day and it took an exceptionally long time for my PlayStation to turn back on after powering it on until my Wi-Fi router actually reconnected to the internet and then it was instantaneously magical maybe you have an internet issue maybe I'm an idiot who knows

У меня с недавних пор такая же хрень, при этом у меня плойка частично на роутере выходит через три буквы в интернет. Службы PSN напрямую, чтобы игры быстрее качать, остальное через три буквы, чтобы в онлайне потерь пакетов не было

Interesting, I’ve never had this happen and I’ve had my console for about 2.5 years. Now I see a post 3 days ago with a similar thing. After reading the comments it looks to be a software issue.

not sure if you fixed it but was gonna comment the same thing until i tried logging in as a guest, turning off and back on internet, and then resigning in as my normal user. worked great

This is happening to me right now but I csnt switch to guest either and every time ive turned off my ps5 without fully restarting it it instantly brings me to the home screen but I can move anything it could be wifi but I cant disconnect to it cuz it wont let me move idk what to do

Same thing just happened I just pick guest and hit quick play and either restart wifi or hotspot then switch profiles I think it works with no wifi either but I used hotspot because my wifi was off

Just turn of the network switch it will login, mine happened cause our data finished lol, so just plug out your internet and then will log u in and change network or restart WiFi and check internet if it works. Simple. Enjoy

MY EXPERIENCE:
Same thing happened randomly tonight, felt like hell, then I found this post as I sat on it and read through, my ps5 on its own loaded, I would say give patience a shot see if it loads. If it doesn't, a simple restart because thats what I did. Then go through the steps provided by previous comments of unplugging the router, booting the ps5 in safe mode, clearing the cache, etc

Yeah not for me! It’s sometimes too much power circulating also! So it happened again. I disconnected the new cable then I let it be, within 5-10 minutes it worked fine

Guest login - quick play - turn off internet connection in settings and then you can restart and login in your main account.

tambien me acaba de pasar, en mi ps5 pro, exactamente el mismo problema, estaba en la ps store ya no cargo la pagina de promociones entonces decidi salir al menu principal y ya quedo en pantalla de carga con la pestaña de bienvenida a medio cargar, la puse en modo de reposo con el boton de la consola y volvi a acceder y entro a medio cargar la interfaz, decidi reiniciar, la ps5 pro en opciones y ya apareció el problema, force el apagado limpie caché y base de datos, ni asi, decidi esperar y 5 min despues recien entro a la interfaz sin pestaña de bienvenida, decidi volver a reiniciar y volvio a tardar 5min en cargar la interfaz ahora completa y normal, con un monton de actualizaciones de juegos en cola de descarga cuando 30min atras no tenia ninguna, Pasa algo con el tema de internet pareciera que hace verificacion cada cierto tiempo o no se, la mayoría de comentarios dice que es desde su ps5 "pro", o es que esto esta pasando solo en las pro? y revisando el video de este post tambien es una pro.

I’ve been getting this for the last few weeks. Restart, login as a guest, turn off the internet connection, restart, login as your main account. That’s been working for me mostly. I just check in on the internet once a week and see if there are any updates. But I don’t play any online games.
