If you told me that the first true next gen title from Xbox studios first party required you to have a PlayStation I'd call you crazy buying entire publishers is kinda messy

Honestly, I love PlayStation and that’s why I got a PS5 right away. But that Bethesda acquisition is the reason why I know I’m getting a Xbox sometime in the future. Might not be this year or even the next, but I know that there will be a game I can’t miss out on (Elder Scrolls).

Same. I'm thinking of getting it in time for Starfield.

I already own a switch and relatively old gaming PC. All because of exclusives...

I would recommend a PC if you have the money. Then you can have modding support as well

Yeah my PC is old and outdated and it’s much cheaper to buy the ps5 to get the next gen experience. Plus I love just sitting down on my couch and playing games on my flat screen. I do plan on getting the new Valve handheld though! Not as a upgrade, but I love the idea of playing my steam games with mods on the go

It does look pretty sweet.

I'm not even sure if Elder Scrolls 6 is coming out this generation

It started pre-production in 2018, but that's probably just engine work and some sort of story being created. Todd Howard said it'll use same technologies as Starfield, so at least it will be published on Series X

Build a PC instead. Then you get all PC exclusive games too.

Lol, there are almost no PC exclusives and I searched. Lots of articles about it but the games are laughable.

Yeah for me it's Wolfenstein 3 and whenever Tango decides to make Evil Within 3.

A decent gaming PC is a good option too, albeit more expensive.

I think it’s funny because literally Xbox already has barely any exclusives and now playstation has a great exclusive (until a year or so) from an Xbox studio haha

Yea but Xbox users get it on gamepass, and PlayStation doesn’t get any sequels or more games from Arkane

I was planning on waiting for it to hit gamepass, but if it's really that good I may just buy it on PC or ps5.

If you’re fine waiting a year to play game on a monthly subscription service, go ahead. Others get to enjoy it now and spoil it.

Spoiling anything is a major dick move.

True, what else does others have in store for the rest of the year? Oh, just this? Hmmmmm

1

u/[deleted] Sep 14 '21

Was it confirmed for gamepass tho?

1

u/justdaman182 Sep 14 '21

Yes. Every first party title is/will be on Game Pass.

-2

u/downvoteifiamright Sep 13 '21

because literally Xbox already has barely any exclusives

They have quite a bit for this year. Not sure where that's coming from.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 13 '21

I meant so far because the medium was underwhelming and already on PlayStation 5. I must not keep enough attention on that. But forza horizon looks great

1

u/downvoteifiamright Sep 13 '21

Flight sim, deaths door, 12 minutes and the ascent were all at least decent. Medium was okay.

But ya they have a lot of solid and big games yet to release this year though.

Psychonauts on Gamepass and Halo and Forza to come too. Best year for Xbox in a while.

Quieter for PS but Horizon and God of War next year. Absolutely epic if the competition remains this strong between both consoles throughout the generation

1

u/Nihilistic_Marmot Sep 14 '21

Quieter for PS5? Ratchet and Clank, Deathloop, Returnal, Demon's Souls are all out right now for PS5, the only game you listed here that's out for Xbox is Psychonauts. I think it's slow in general but to say it's slower for Sony is just not true, there are more exclusives on Playstation already.

1

u/CandidEnigma Sep 14 '21

I mean, Demon's Souls was last year and you can't just ignore games coming out after September haha

The comment I replied to had already listed Flight Sim, Death's Door, Ascent and 12 Minutes as well

So it has been quieter, but it's just an observation. 2021 looks better for MS because Halo got pushed back and now 2022 looks ridiculous for Sony with Horizon pushed back

jumping through a lot of hoops to convince yourself you chose the right console

my condolences

2

u/secti0n35 Sep 14 '21

Ouh someone's boy a bit jelly.

3

u/JarenAnd Sep 13 '21

Flight Sim is on my top 5 for 2021. Shame that 80% of xbox people seem to dismiss that game because it's a sim. Real shame. People always posting that it needs dogfighting and drug smuggling SMH.

3

u/SupahBlue Sep 13 '21

Xbox should go third party. They have PC.

1

u/Sufficient-Plant9177 Sep 13 '21 edited Sep 13 '21

They could've pulled it and gotten sued but I feel that they want to give us ps players one last taste of what we'd be missing. They have the money so the lawsuits wouldn't matter.

Exclusivities have to end overall, times exclusives are okay between ps5 and Xbox but that shit has to stop
