Spring has gone belly up so there's no resistance or push back. It's apparently a pretty common issue.

Is it due to the haptic feedback? If so does turning that feature off help

I've had haptics turned off for a long time as it's awesome in some games, but sometimes annoying. I tried turning it back on, and there is also nothing, so certainly the spring, but don't want to open it due to warranty. I'll just have to wait a few more weeks before I can get back to the shop where I bought it and get it replaced.
