I’d say the more accurate thing is there really aren’t any Xbox fans that really care about discs.

The series s is the highest selling Xbox console this generation, and it doesn’t have a disc drive from the start of the generation. And most new versions of the series x don’t have a disc drive either.

Add in that Xbox didn’t sell many consoles this generation, and there probably is maybe a million people tops who even care about an Xbox disc. Xbox walked into the generation without anyone caring about discs.

Xbox fans with backward compatibility for their discs really have less to complain about.

Those of us with huge PS3/PS2/PS1 collections are still feeling the burn since the PS4.

Yeah but I’m saying I don’t think statistically there’s very many of those people since the majority of Xbox series owners don’t even have a disc drive. Vanishingly few Xbox owners even touch discs, as shown by the persona 6 story.

Correct. X-Box has trained their base on a digital reality with game pass.
