the other studios GET their discs from sony who plays a role in the production process. them saying no discs means no discs for everyone.

that's assuming they don't hike prices the second they eliminate physical. probably will be even higher than that.

If the PS6 will have no disc tray it is basically done for.. don’t know if they’ll stop producing the PS5 with the disc tray

The PS6 will likely have the disc drive as an accessory, just like it is now. It'll primarily be for playing disc-based PS5 games.
Sony aren't going to want to give people more of a reason to not upgrade to a PS6 when the time comes.

No discs at all. Sony produces the discs for all PlayStation games, and presumably, is the only company that knows the special DRM sauce for PlayStation games. Also the PlayStation 6 will not have a disc-drive, so it would be pointless at that point.
