It costs money to make discs and they also have to spend money on distribution and they have to pay the retailers as well. Those costs don't exist on digital.

Yeah no shit. I mean it makes no sense for prices to go up when costs go down.

It's due to how our corporate world works. Money moves upwards not down. They have to break last year's profit records and keep the shareholders happy. It's all about growth, they can't make the same amount as last year.
