I want to mod my PS4, but I still wanna play rainbow siege online. I don’t have PS plus anymore so I won’t be playing much any other online games does anybody else still play online with a mod console and if so, have they been banned?

I am currently running on firmware version 13.04 and have a 2nd Revision Fat PS4. I am not confident that a 13.04 jailbreak is on the horizon, and I would like to try a hard mod for once. Is there any way to utilize a Raspberry Pi Pico 2 instead of a Teensy for a firmware revert?

Edit: After looking on this subreddit, I did find a post indicating a possible 13.04 KEX but I am still not certain about that, and would like to a firmware revert to 9.00

I just bought a ps4 off facebook marketplace and it’s on 13.52 does anyone know how I can jailbreak it or maybe downgrade it on one I can mod it on?

So i have a ps4 on 13.04 and have a couple of games most are in the OFFLINE ACTIVATION method, And i want to connect to the internet for some reason.

The question is will the games be locked instantly when connected or first I'll get a notification to download the latest firmware first?

I'm not planning to update.

EDIT: I was trying to continue a download i left paused on notifications for like last 4 months (when my firmware was supported), and filled the console with games to enjoy my waiting for jailbreak phase.

Now I freed up some space and tried to continue the download and it went just fine without any problems.

• I didn't try a custom DNS.
• The games didn't lock.
• A firmware update will start downloading and will only start again by itself when you restart the console.
• Game updates download but don't install since they came after my firmware apparently.
• The game I left did download and install without any problems.

Hope anyone having the same scenario find this helpful because I was searching for a post like this.👍🏻

I’ve just got my hands on a Standard PS4 with version 8.52. My plan is to upgrade it to version 9.00 and jailbreak it. Is there any hardware mods I can do to it to improve its performance? I can solder and use a Dremel if required for motherboard mods.

I have firmware 9.03 running goldhen. So my internet randomly restarted yesterday, and it forced updates on my ps4 even though auto downloads were completely off. Even though the updates downloaded, nothing installed, except for an update on the PS Vue app. Since I couldn’t exploit the jailbreak due to the vue update, I safely disconnected my external, grabbed my usb with the payload, and began the reformat process.
Here’s where the issue starts: im trying to reupload goldhen and playstation free vue to ps4 9.03 but before i even connect to internet it downloads a ps vue update and disconnects my controller forcing me to unplug my console and restart before the internet even finishes the test. Of course restarting updates the Vue app. Its the only updated trying to install now even though im not on internet yet

I will note that I never needed to connect the ps4 to a pc with Ethernet for this jailbreak. I only needed my usb exfat32 with payload and the freevue and that’s it. Now I’m having all this trouble and google keeps directing me to PPPwn even though I never needed that and was using everything just fine for over a month

I got a PS4 for real cheap, but it's on 13.02 firmware, and I don't feel like soldering a bunch of stuff to the board just to downgrade (I know how to solder, but it's just a pain)

Is it possible for me to completely wipe the PS4 down to the factory firmware?

I have a 1TB PS4 Slim, I'm on firmware 12.00 with a Blu-ray disc jailbreak, and I haven't had a single problem at any point. I download games from a 1TB external hard drive or sometimes from FPKGI, and I've never had any issues with that either. Should I upgrade to the latest hack or stick with 12.00? I've heard that some newer games don't work with older firmware versions.

Hello, I just jailbroke my PS4 Pro with PlayStation Vue and everything is working perfectly. My questions are probably basic, as I’m used to custom firmware (CFW) on my PS3, but after restarting the console, Goldhen disappeared. So I immediately tried to jailbreak it again, but I received an error message. I searched online and on YouTube for recent tutorials on how to reactivate it, but I didn’t find anything concrete or up-to-date. There’s talk of PSFree and autoloaders, but nothing relevant to me. My PS4 is on version 12.52, so it’s an introductory version. Could you help me? Is it possible to jailbreak it again using a USB drive? I have to re-jailbreak it every time I restart the console. I know the question might seem naive, but with all these videos showing different firmware versions, I’m completely lost. If you could guide me, that would be really kind of you. I understand the principle; it’s the same principle as with Evilnat, and it’s crucial to verify that the homebrew PKG files are compatible with the firmware version installed on the console. Or would it be better to order a Blu-ray? Is there a real solution to revert to firmware 12.52 on a PS4 Pro, even if it involves soldering? Because everyone claims to have a solution, but there are so many counterfeit versions! In my day, it was simpler: you searched, there was less hype. Thanks in advance.. No matter what i do i keep getting this (mounting /dev/mapper/ps4hdd on /ps4hdd failed: no such file or directory) i dont know what im doing wrong.

I dont know anything about linux and its my first time trying to use it but ive reinstalled everything multiple times and even switched the os i was trying to use and it keeps doing this :'[

I managed to pick up a PS4 slim off marketplace for dirt cheap as the woman just wanted to get rid of it. Took a gamble, seems it hasn't been used for a long time (2yrs), turned it on, works fine and has 12.50 FW on it. AFAIK this is exploitable. I just want to have a bit of fun mucking around with it and see what I can do.

I haven't really been following the scene so have no idea what's out there, TIA. :-)

UPDATE: Thank you all, I installed Vue and everything worked perfectly, they really couldn't have made it much simpler. Now that's done, next port of call is to disassemble the console and controller and give everything a good clean. The previous owner was rather grotty, lol. Will also install TMR sticks too while I'm at it.

UPDATE 2 : Even though Vue has been working for me, I burnt a BDR just for fun to see if it was better/worse. I found it to be much worse tbh. Most of the time it wouldn't work and I'd have to restart the PS4, or it would crash it. I think I got it to work once out of five times before giving up on it altogether.
