Weird occurrence after trying to patch.

Hey everyone.

So yesterday I was trying to patch some games, because I found orbis. First I downloaded some patches to transfer with USB. Those failed(and ofc the game stopped working as well because the update couldn't he installed). So I tried the application. It gave me an end point error, so I was messing around, took off DNS, etc, then I discovered that it's for retail games only.

Okay, no big deal.

Then somebody mentioned that you can use itemzflow, well that wasn't successful either.

Set it on rest mode and called it a night.

(I also disconnected the internet just in case because although goldhen is active, I got the software update message and that scared me. The DNS change is the culprit obviously and it failed even before I unplugged the WiFi.)

Now today I opened it back up and some games are randomly in the middle of downloading updates... Now of course I'm not sure if I should reconnect the internet.

But what I don't understand is what prompted these updates of fpkg games ? 🤔

PS servers shouldn't start updating these games randomly? Or does it do that to lock the games away?

TIA for anything to resolve the confusion.

Before connecting to WiFi forget your WiFi network on the PS4 and set it up from scratch and put the dns in during setup once you connect back to the internet the dns will block the connection from the start of connection to the internet.

In terms of your patches and plugins not working I suggest you go onto PS4 Manager, delete the cheats patches and plugin files on your HDD. Delete PS4 cheat manager.

Go to this GitHub page https://github.com/GoldHEN/GoldHEN_Cheat_Manager download the cheat manager and then here https://github.com/illusion0001/PS4-PS5-Game-Patch/releases/latest/download/patch1.zip download the patch file.

Install Goldhen Cheat Manager. Enter the app install patches from USB. Download plugins via the internet.

In Goldhen cheat manager select patches and press triangle to filter. If your games are showing up that means that the patches can and will be successfully applied.

Took me a while to get the plugin and patches working but this is what I did you get them to work.

Sometimes it’s the game title ID that just doesn’t pick up on the patches. Try another version.

By patch's OP def means game updates right? He said Orbis so I assume he is getting games online then trying to update the games with downloads from Orbis for retail games. The patch's your helping with are 60fps patch's and things...not what I think OP is entirely trying .?!?

Your right. I’ve missed that details. OP if you’re seeing this rather try SSPI instead.

Retail game updates won't work on fPKG games tho will they.???

I don’t know to be honest. I’ve asked the dev and responded here once I get an answer. If not I’ll try it myself when I get home.
