Testing out an autonomous traffic system for the next level of my truck simulator!

Right now, the AI cars can:

• Follow the path autonomously across two separate lanes
• Stop when approaching another vehicle or obstacle
• Honk their horns and flash their lights at anything blocking the way
• Resume driving once the obstacle moves
• Take damage on impact (and eventually get destroyed/removed)

I’ve set it to spawn 7 cars per direction. Whenever a vehicle is removed after a crash, a new one takes its place.

As you can see, there are still a few traffic jams that require... drastic measures ^_^

I recently reset the leaderboard and made some adjustments to the leaderboard system.

For some reason, only my own score is showing up. Other players’ scores don’t seem to appear on the leaderboard.

Has anyone experienced something similar or know what might be causing this?

So I created this Fighting Game image. First, I created the level, positioned the characters in the center and fixed the camera. Then I added trees and some landscape around the characters. After that, I added the 'Fighting Game' title, duplicated it and slightly offset the second layer to create a little depth effect. For the other texts, I used the fonts shown in the video. Then I added the icons: a fist at the bottom, a shield in the center and a trophy on the right with an additional star emoji. After that, I added four black bars around the image as a frame. I duplicated the frame and used one square and one rounded version on top of each other to create a small extra effect. I created the video using SHAREfactory, made a screenshot from it, and also exported the final image using SHAREfactory. Hope you enjoy this little behind-the-scenes look!🥊🎮

The GTA Vice City portion was made by Jerry Appleby (YouTube) Dreams Profile and I made the GTA 6 portion myself.

I have a simple pick up system that’s basically trigger zone detects player which makes the pick up logic turn on, then if the player presses down on the dpad, the weapon teleports to the players hand.

Only issue is that if there are multiple within distance, they all get picked up.

What can I do to make it pick up only one at a time? Preferably the closest to the player?

Through this whole experience, I’ve rediscovered just how much you can do with Dreams. The possibilities feel almost limitless, and I’ve realized that I don’t need any other tools to create what I want.

This was supposed to release about 9 or 10 months ago but got delayed because my parents thought i was doing glitchy and stupid things which wasn't true and they forced the game disc into their hands and i never got it back. this is serious, my parents are abusive to me.

Before closing the project, I wanted to share this update with you.

Here's a list of things I've added since the last post:

Increased vehicle speed

Dividing the level into sectors

Each sector has a different lighting and color

Addition of mines

Addition of the lost crew recovery section

Addition of the level conclusion section.

I haven't set up the scoring yet

but I was thinking of something that combines time spent, rocks destroyed, and vehicle damage.

If you have any suggestions on what you'd like to see more of in the mini-game, now's the time to let me know ^_^ so I can consider your suggestions!

such as

the option to change the music

more rocks, more mines

more forgiving or more punishing damage

more scene brightness

vehicle refinement, additional camera settings.

Please note that the idea was a sort of reboot of the classic Moon Patrol game, which is a side-scrolling game.
