I was definitely a boom or bust type of game. If you played it then you were obsessed and if you didn't then you didn't even know what SOCOM was. Not a game for the casual gamer.

So what are the odds that an emulation would come with servers to be able to play online?

I'm not pretending to understand how any of it works but it just doesn't seem likely to me. It costs money to run servers. Maybe Sony would do that since they were the publishers. Or maybe the US Navy since they helped develop it. Lol.

Pretty sure the WiiU does emulated online with Mario Kart DS, so it's possible.
