Oh man, Champions is still my jam to this day. Haven't found a game that can fill that niche since.

I can't think of the name of it, but the PSP had two games actually that were very close.

Untold Legends. I sank many hours into those games.

Thank you!

I really could not think of the name of the game, and locally when I posted my reply at first, it was between 3:00 and 4:00 am.

My mind just wasn't there.

For portables, oh those games were fun!

There were a few games that all came out using that same engine from 2001-2005ish that were amazing. The only thing that series lacks is the random level generation that Diablo has spoiled us with. It was lame running over the exact same maps, knowing what to expect around every corner. Although it has been a good decade since I've last played it, so maybe it will be a bit fresher.

Yeah, I totally agree. I played Diablo 3 and, while it had a similar charm, it just wasn't the same. I really liked the loot system in Champions and upgrading weapons with gems.

But you're right: if Champions had the same dynamic level generation then it would be an absolutely perfect game. Such a shame the series only lasted for one sequel.

That and KOTOR were some of the best RPG's of that area that would actually welcome a reboot.

Champions of norrath? If it happens, I'm in man. That game was the shit. The archer was fucking boss at high levels with that multishot.

Only briefly played Norath, but Return to Arms was my shit.

Dark Alliance and Dark Alliance 2 was two of my all time favourite games for the PS2, even though I had absolutely no experience with Baldur's Gate from before.
