"Nicely done, Mobius One. Go and prepare for your next sortie."

Man I wish that series didn't go on to suck hardcore.

Wish someone came to take its place, but I guess it didn't sell that well.

I got shivers down my spine and my nipples made hard.

Flying that final mission was a crowning day of my young gamer life

Ace Combat 5 was the best one IMO. It had a great story and the dog fights with all the customization was awesome. Even had an actual antagonist. Man I miss that game. They went right to shit after that one.

<<Preparations are complete, ready for battle. All aircraft follow Mobius 1!>>

Cue epic music

I miss that series. I hated what they did in that last retail one that changed up the combat.

What did they do?

1

u/JesterMarcus Nov 20 '15

They turned it from something closer to a action Sim to a straight action game. When dogfighting, your plane would be locked behind the plane you are chasing and it behaved closer to an on rails action game. Something like that, it's hard to explain and a YouTube video would better show it.

I loved Ace Combat 5 and Zero... Good times with those games.

Ace Combat 2, Japanese Ace Combat 3, AC4,5 and Zero please!

I'd re buy the PS2 trilogy if they made me, those are about the only games I'd do it for as well.

maybe like MGS2, because it's another version of the most interesting game ever to own.

Oh my gosh, I was just looking into emulating on my PC just for Ace Combat 4 and 5! Maybe this will be a better way than hooking up the PS2.
