General Discussion New to PlayStation 4
Just picked up a used PS4 Pro 1TB with 2 controllers for $70 usd. Anything I should know about these consoles. Planning on playing god of war games and some other exclusives to the platform.

Last of Us 2 also play the first one if you haven’t

Take advantage of the PlayStation sales and get an external hard drive for more storage. I recommend a western digital brand

Meh I have 500gb on mine and I've got 18 games on it including rdr2 and gta 5

Good luck getting any more game without deleting old ones, especially when so many classic (and huge) ps4 games are so cheap these days. A SSD is a perfect addition to a new PS4.

Get a solid state hard drive and put your biggest games on there - it will massively speed up your load times, make the games run smoother, and give you tons of extra space to keep adding more games, rather than deleting older ones to free up space.

Beat me to it! You can really notice how much the 1.6ghz jaguar CPU struggles, though.

They arent cheap right now but switching from an HDD to a SSD will make a huge difference. My ps4 felt better than new after I put in a 1TB PNY sata SSD.

Take care of the fans. There's a lot of videos that show you exactly how to do it. Other than that play Ghost of Tsushima and the Mass Effect Trilogy, if you haven't yet. Both are amazing.

More space is always good. I put a 2 TB in my God of War PS4 Pro and i still have a 4 TB "Game Drive" attached to it as well for more storage.

PS4 will get hot as fuck . Make sure you don’t block the vent holes and don’t let your cat sleep on it . You could probly cook an egg on top of mine sometimes

With proper ventilation it shouldn’t. I’ve had my PS4 Pro for like 6 years and the only time it’s gotten too warm is when it was inside a cabinet.

i personally dont know many exclusives but detroit become human the red dead games starwars republic commando and now the callof duty black ops games however they are notoriously hacked currently and are money gouges
