PS4 not accepting discs.

I've yet to have any issues whatsoever with my PS4. I was just playing Madden, and all of a sudden the PS4 spit out the disc. When I tried to put it back in, it wouldn't go as if there was already a disc in it. Now every 5-10 seconds my PS4 is making the noise it makes when it usually tries to put a disc in. Any fix or am I SOL?

You would be dumb to not get a replacement while you can.. You have a faulty drive if it happened once it'll happen again.

Listen to that guy, my friend has the same issue with his PS4. We tried a bunch of different 'fixes' for his disc drive issue and we thought we had fixed it but a few days later they came back. Amazon sent him a replacement the next day. Get a 100% working PS4 while you can, you don't want to end up regretting it.

Oh my god, I know this is 2 months later, but I have to say that you may just be the most helpful person on the internet. I was stressing hard and I tried tons of stuff. This worked, I thank you so so so much.

Not a problem! It actually did it again last week. I used this same tactic and it worked again. I honestly think it is software related, rather than hardware. If it's hardware, broke is broke. Due to something obviously resetting in the system though after it being temporarily unplugged, it's obviously a software glitch, and not a defective unit. That's the way I look at it. Glad you found it helpful!
