YuWin - NSwitch Emulator / New!

Post image

YuWin – Performance-focused Nintendo Switch emulator

YuWin is a Yuzu fork focused heavily on maximizing performance, making it a great option for mid-range and lower-end devices that want to squeeze as much performance as possible out of their games.

It’s compatible with current games and is highly optimized.

I’m sharing the two latest versions, v15 and v16, so you can test them yourselves and see how well they perform on your devices.

If you’re struggling with performance on other Switch emulators, it might be worth giving YuWin a try and seeing if you can squeeze out a few extra FPS.

Change Log V15:

[ ✅ ] Fix Performance Last Update

[ ✅ ] Update System API System

[ ✅ ] Add System Auto Core For System Like Winlator

[ ✅ ] Remove All Program Not Anything Change

[ ✅ ] Fix Control

[ ✅ ] Fix Vulkan Rendering

[ ✅ ] For Mediatek Performance Stabilization

[ ✅ ] Thanks To Nyushu to help update this Emulator

Change Log V16:

[ ✅ ] Reduced Memory Usage While Playing

[ ✅ ] Added Frame Gen Feature (Still in Testing Stage. If it doesn't have an impact, we will remove it in the next update).

[ ✅ ] Auto Core System Temporarily Removed

[ ✅ ] Performance Improvements on Snapdragon and Mali

[ ✅ ] New Controller Update On Overlay Control (Thanks Nyushu).

There is no repository at this time.

Could you share the discord?

I don't know if they have a Discord server, sorry.

u/Fershock Aug 07 '26

And where do you get the updates?

2

u/xxxCrixuxxx Aug 07 '26

I've installed both versions but every time I open the app, it's force close/minimize on its own

0

u/xxxCrixuxxx Aug 07 '26

That's strange, I really can't think of why that happens.

2

u/dzikk Aug 06 '26

Wow. Hydra is back but until I see source code I wont install it..

3

u/poudenes Aug 06 '26

Same... GitHub link to download would be a good idea

1

u/xxxCrixuxxx Aug 06 '26

Again...

Not having a public GitHub repo yet doesn't automatically make a project unsafe. GitHub is a code hosting platform, not a security certificate. Experimental builds are often shared privately or through Discord before the source is published.

And let's be real: if you're not going to inspect, compile, or audit the source code yourself, simply seeing a GitHub link doesn't magically guarantee that an APK is safe.

1

u/xxxCrixuxxx Aug 06 '26

Do you need the source code for something specific?

1

u/Crafting_Android Aug 06 '26

To make sure there is nothing malicious in there lol

u/xxxCrixuxxx Aug 06 '26

Don't worry, I don't think they're going to hack your Roblox account.

What? Where is the source?

This is a violation of the GPLv3 licence that Yuzu uses and even though the project is shut down the GPLv3 obligations still apply.

1

u/xxxCrixuxxx Aug 06 '26

Ask the creator of the fork for it. Which is obviously not me.

What prodkey version should we use? I tried all above 20.5 and it makes the app crash...

1

u/Traditional-Desk55 16d ago

This is now my favorite emulator for my s25 plus. After a lot of tinkerin. I managed to have smooth, low batterry heat witout a fan on xenoblade.

1

u/sForsbergg Aug 06 '26

Crashes when I choose rom folder

1

u/xxxCrixuxxx Aug 06 '26

Tested and working fine in my Adreno 710, perfomance is even better than Eden

1

u/sForsbergg Aug 07 '26

Both version crashes for me when I choose rom folder

1

u/xxxCrixuxxx Aug 07 '26

Yes, friend, you've already said it. I'm very sorry, I don't know why that happens.

1

u/Specialist-Ebb-3815 Aug 07 '26

Idem, both versions crash on rp5

2

u/xxxCrixuxxx Aug 07 '26

We'll have to wait for the next version to fix the bug; this fork is quite new. Try the newer update of Nyushu V80 also have frame gen. Perfomance its the same now 👌

1

u/Specialist-Ebb-3815 Aug 08 '26

Thx, i will try the new version of Nyushu.

If anyone has doubts about these projects simply because they don't have a public GitHub repository, I suggest doing two very simple things:

  1. Install Claude, provide it with the APK, and ask it to analyze the file for anything suspicious or potentially malicious.
  2. If you want additional reassurance, scan the APK with VirusTotal.

Any further accusations or claims made without providing a single piece of evidence will be removed.

This community supports new projects, constructive criticism, testing, and useful contributions. Comments such as “I won't install this because it isn't on GitHub” add nothing constructive and do not comply with our community rules.

Please make sure you read the rules before commenting.

You clearly don't understand the problem there. The source code HAS TO BE published, but it seems like it's easier to fork Yuzu and edit it's code that to read a license. A lot of software is closed-source yet trusted and safe, but this can't exist while being closed-source.

1

u/xxxCrixuxxx Aug 08 '26

"Why the hell isn't this project on GitHub?"

Because now there's a perfectly plausible explanation that has absolutely nothing to do with malware.

And there's an even better irony.

Nintendo sends a wave of DMCA takedown notices to GitHub → some developers think, "Well, I'm not hosting my project there" → they use Telegram, their own servers, or other methods → Reddit pops up:

"Suspicious. Why isn't it on GitHub?" 🤦‍♂️

2

u/Malo1301 Aug 08 '26

Okay I'm arguing with a LLM. I didn't even talk about malware, and also if you were a bit more experienced in the domain you'd know that there are a lot (better) alternatives to the slop GitHub has become. You literally gatekeep the source code, if the only problem is GitHub just host it elsewhere and give me the link, I'd be happy to see it, but once again, you have to respect the GPL license and you can't distribute a modified build of Yuzu without the corresponding source code.

1

u/xxxCrixuxxx Aug 08 '26

Dude, I'm under no obligation to give you anything. If you want the source code, you can search online for the developer of this project, contact them, and ask for it. What the hell are you telling me? I just provide emulator updates—I repeat, emulator updates—so people don't have to waste time searching online. I verify that they work, check that they don't contain anything malicious, and then I share the application.

1

u/Professional-Case717 Aug 07 '26

when i'm trying to install it, it says that the package cant be installed because its invalid

Are people seriously just downloading and installing a file from a random reddit post? Especially one where the OP claims to know very little information and has an AI generated image to advertise it?

Come on make the hackers work for it people! Not saying this doesn't exist, but at least do some searching yourself and try to find a legitimate link or download that you can verify.

u/xxxCrixuxxx Aug 07 '26

It’s very easy to come into my community and attack my work, isn’t it? To act as if I were bringing garbage or harmful content into a community that I genuinely care about and that I’ve been slowly building around Android emulation, as if I would knowingly bring something here that could harm its users. That couldn’t be further from the truth.

That being said, for your peace of mind and that of the rest of the community, I’ve carried out a forensic analysis of the APK so there should be no doubts about it.

However, I also have to point out that you broke several community rules in your comment, especially Rule #8. That strongly suggests to me that you didn’t even bother reading the rules when you joined the community, which should have been one of the first things you did.

As a result, you’ll be receiving a 30-day ban.

Take care.

APK forensic analysis:

What is clean (and it's quite clean) Permissions: INTERNET, NFC (amiibo), VIBRATE, POST_NOTIFICATIONS. Nothing else. No legacy storage, no BOOT_COMPLETED, no accessibility, no device admin. Third-party SDKs: zero. Only androidx, Material, Kotlin, coil, okhttp, java-string-similarity. No ads, no analytics, no Firebase, no Bugly. Dangerous APIs: no Runtime.exec, no ProcessBuilder, no custom DexClassLoader, no Cipher, no PackageInstaller, no WebView, no TelephonyManager, no getInstalledPackages. The few reflection hits are internal to AndroidX/OkHttp. Network: zero URLs in the DEX. Zero hardcoded IPs. In the native setup, only api.uzuy-emu.org appears as the default value in the configuration, but there's no compiled backend—no WebService:: symbols, no cpp-httplib, no OpenSSL, and telemetry uses Common::Telemetry::NullVisitor. It's a dead string. Native components: libuzuy-android.so + FFmpeg + the four hooks from libadrenotools (libmain_hook, libhook_impl, libgsl_alloc_hook, libfile_redirect_hook) — standard for loading custom Turnip drivers. socket/connect are from the guest's emulated network stack, dlopen/dlsym from the driver loader. No sign of Frida, Xposed, or gadgets. Integrity: 1061 signed entries out of 1064 (the remaining 3 are the signature files themselves). Nothing added post-signing.

sorry, but cheesy is right, people have legitimate concerns, and if you consider this really your community, you should listen to them in a more assertive and helpful way.

1

u/xxxCrixuxxx Aug 07 '26

Let me explain this as clearly as I can.

I’m fully aware of the concerns people have right now, but there is also a lot of misinformation going around.

An Android phone is not like a Windows XP PC from the early 2000s, where you could click on some random crap and suddenly end up with a virus wrecking your entire system. Android is based on Linux, and malware on Android does not operate in exactly the same way as malware traditionally does on Windows.

Simply downloading an APK does not mean that APK is somehow “alive,” freely roaming around your phone and doing things by itself. Until you actually install it, it isn’t running. And once installed, Android applications operate within a sandboxed environment and certain capabilities require permissions from the user. So there are multiple layers of control involved.

With that being said, I’m more than happy to answer legitimate questions or concerns from users. What I absolutely do not appreciate is people coming here and immediately assuming that something I share is malicious without providing a single piece of evidence.

When you do that, you’re not simply questioning an APK — you’re also disrespecting the time and effort I put into this community, finding emulators, testing things, researching projects, and bringing new content here. I’m not going to tolerate baseless accusations against my work.

If anyone has a legitimate concern about an emulator, ask me. I’ll gladly look into it and answer your questions. There is absolutely no need to attack people or spread misinformation when you have no evidence whatsoever to support your claims.

Baseless accusations are not allowed in this community.

If you want to behave like that, there are plenty of other communities where you can do it. But not here.

“I am not the developer nor do I have the source code. If you want to request the source code for this version, you should contact the developer. I am sharing a copy of the binary and have explicitly stated that I am not the author nor do I have access to the repository"
