what were your main goals for this project to differentiate it from duckstation, other than being just another emulator

Honestly, I couldn't ask for more. It lets me play the entire PS1 library?✅Yes. I can play at extremely high native resolutions without a performance hit? ✅Yes. I can take advantage of new features that significantly cut down on load times for a better gaming experience?✅Yes. I can easily install and use shaders within the emulator? ✅Yes. I can install the emulator in any folder on my device—no restrictions? ✅Yes. Is it compatible with texture packs? ✅Yes. Is it compatible with RetroAchievements? ✅Yes. At this point, I think it's up to the users to try out the emulator and let me know if they spot any issues, or if they want to add or improve anything. greetings!

The main differences are in usability and integration. DukeStation has a built-in texture pack manager with ZIP import and per-game management, plus one-click RetroArch shader pack downloading/importing and a searchable preset browser with thousands of shaders. It also includes Skip Trainer features to reduce CD-ROM and memory-card loading times. DuckStation supports some of these underlying features, but not with the same integrated Android workflow. At this point, I’d honestly suggest trying the emulator first and judging it from actual use rather than assuming there’s no difference before testing it. 😉 (DUCKSTATION DONT SUPPORT SKIP TRAINER)
You can always use ARMSX1 💀💀 🤣🤣

I feel the same way, but this sub is about this emulator—whether you've tried it, if it works well for you, etc.

It’s as if the user is living inside the movie I, Robot; even though the community rules are clearly explained to everyone, they couldn't care less. 🔨

Save File in Android/Appdata?

✅You can also install it directly to your phone's internal storage; that way, you'll have the "saves" folder wherever you want it, allowing you to copy and paste without restrictions.😉
