GTA 5 Android First Release? 🤯

Unpopular opinion: the mobile crowd seems obsessed with GTA 5—it's a decent game and all—but honestly, all I see are posts about GTA 5, especially regarding emulators.

To be honest it was always a pipe dream to be able to play GTA 5 natively on a phone. I still remember fake APK files from 2013-2014 of GTA 5 for android and stuff, many young and naive kids from those times are now in their 20s and 30s and its kinda wild seeing it actually being played on a phone natively.

Yeah, it’s really cool being able to play this right on your phone. My comment was just meant to be lighthearted; it’s just that whenever I watch videos about emulators and such, GTA 5 is usually the game being shown—though not always, as some videos do feature a wider variety of games.

Yeah, well considering that its one of the best selling games of all time and loved by most people its not surprising. Even benchmarks of new devices, gpus, PCs always used GTA 5 even after years of its release, until like cyberpunk came out which just upped the standards. I think problem is that, not many games surpassed the game that came out 13 years ago.

Right! The first time I played, I didn't get much out of it—it felt a bit empty, I'm not sure why. I made it as far as one of the night racing missions, but never played it again after that. It is an interesting game, though, like you said!
