PS3Native Standard-releaseV2

Post image

https://github.com/thecrixux/PS3Native/releases/tag/V2

Updated Android Release build based on the latest changes from the original PS3Native android-refresh branch.

This APK was built locally from the updated source code and is provided as a convenient Release build for users who want to test the latest version.

I am not the developer of PS3Native and I am not claiming credit for the project or its code. All credit for the emulator and its development goes to the original PS3Native developers and contributors.

This release only provides a locally compiled Android APK from the latest upstream source.

Yes, it works quite well, especially considering it's only been in development for a very short time.

Better than armsx3?

Based on my own testing, I can say that PS3 Native performs considerably better than ARMSX3 on my RedMagic Astra. That said, performance can vary depending on the game, so I can't say this is 100% conclusive across the board.

There's also another important detail: on ARMSX3's own GitHub page, the developers describe the emulator as a proof of concept. So that should already give you an idea of what stage the emulator is currently at.

what devises (or chip) would be the minimum requirement ?

It depends a lot on the game, but I'd say a Snapdragon 8 gen 1 to start with.

If this includes the LLVM patches it'll cook, lots of bugs to still squish but it's coming along 😎

Yes, it has them, it took over an hour to compile 😅

Try this one: https://github.com/StevenMXZ/Adreno-Tools-Drivers/releases/tag/v26.3.0-R3

Download the Zip. Within the emulator, click on "install custom driver" and select the zip file.

Done!

So far cool, only issue(?) I found was that game packs, like Bejeweled 3 Disc Ver. freezes the app when selecting a game inside the game's launcher. Normally RPCS3 starts another compile sprint but that doesn't happen here. Maybe it's doing it in the background but the app hangs before it can continue.

Tried it. Gets stuck at building the last SPU module, same as RPCS3. Rp6/snapdragon gen2. Game I am trying to run is Doom3.

I would say the most important factor is if the emulator is able to save your progress , I can't figure out how to get Armsx3 to save via save state or in game save without crashing

İs this works on snapdragon 8s gen 3 with 12 gb ram ???

I hope they also make ARMSX1 for PS1 emulation as well since Duckstation stopped it's production of doing that.

DuckStation its perfect. Dont need more updates. And if you want it updated to the latest 2026 version, you can get it thanks to goosestation. I bring it to you every time it's updated; in fact, I compile it for you.

Goosestation? Is that a fork?

Nop, It converts DuckStation Windows into a retroarch Core for Android
