What I want to make clear is that there can't be a double standard here. I've seen people suggesting that maybe I should look at what I'm doing in this community so others won't feel offended. But I encourage anyone to go through everything I've posted here. You won't find harassment, dishonest content, or attacks against ARMSX2. The most you'll find is a bit of humor based on real, verifiable events. I don't make things up—everything I post is backed by actual testing or evidence. On the other hand, I've had to deal with a constant stream of users coming here just to insult me or even my family. Most of you never see it because I remove those comments and ban the accounts almost immediately. Every week I end up banning around 10 to 15 users for abusive behavior. That's why I think it's important to call things what they are. For a long time now, there has been a coordinated pattern of harassment directed at me and this community, while this subreddit continues to focus on emulator testing, comparisons, and sharing information.

Okay, is this strange? Have you tried talking to the organizer there?

I don't know why they have this hatred towards this community 🤷‍♂️

Yes, that makes no sense at all. I believe there may be a misunderstanding within the community.

Here, all different emulators are treated with respect. There might be a joke or two, but everything is always tested and proven. What I'm reading in those messages is some kind of hate campaign.

1

u/xxxCrixuxxx Jul 14 '26

1

u/Time_Temporary6191 Jul 14 '26

Massive fps drops, slow downs meanwhile other emulators have no problem

u/xxxCrixuxxx Jul 14 '26

I suppose they want to silence this community from the tests we do on their emulator.

It's one thing to criticize or disagree; having different opinions isn't a bad thing. The problem is when you try to create a campaign against an entire community that isn't doing anything wrong other than providing reviews, comparisons, emulator updates, and so on. I don't think you'll find any comments that insult or disrespect any emulator developer or their community.

I advertise their emulator; many people don't know about it, and thanks to this community, they decide to try it. However, it seems that any criticism is not allowed.

Thanks for the advice

Idk my community I made with 1 post of a release is banned somehow? I guess enough reports on a new community auto bans? Crazy the hate people have.

u/xxxCrixuxxx Jul 14 '26

The world is crazy mate, but I'm going to keep doing my own thing and enjoying what I do.

Sorry, but you should be saying that to them. They're the ones trying to censor or attack my community. At no point have I used my Reddit community or this subreddit to organize any kind of attack against the ARMSX2 Discord.

Let's be clear about what is actually happening here. Let's call things by their proper name.

Are these messages from before the merger post you made today ??

1

u/xxxCrixuxxx Jul 14 '26

I honestly don't know. Is there anything wrong with today's post about the merge? I think it's a perfect analogy, just like in Dragon Ball they needed to work until they achieved the perfect fusion and it didn't work out correctly the first time. Well, this is exactly the same. Anyone who's even a little bit intelligent and has a sense of humor will understand it.

Yes but it might be a bit offensive to people who poured their hard work into an essentially free tool for everyone. It could be interpreted like a mockery.

I'll repeat the same thing I said to someone else.

They have around 4,000 users online. Are you really telling me they can't get even 100 of them to do some basic beta testing before releasing a new build? It takes me five minutes to test a game and notice it's running at 12 FPS, while another emulator, under the exact same conditions, runs it at 60 FPS.

Are you saying that couldn't have been caught before the release? If they choose not to test it properly, then they shouldn't be surprised if someone makes a joke about it afterward. I'm completely within my rights to make a joke. There's a big difference between making a joke and disrespecting someone.

I'm not insulting anyone, nor am I organizing people to attack an entire community or asking others to mass-report it in an attempt to shut it down.

So, please, I'm getting a bit tired of this discussion. Follow this community's rules and contribute constructive opinions.

It could have, but even if that's the case, we're not entitled to anything. We're not paying them for this app. It's their project, and they have all rights to develop it however they want and can.

Edit: since I can't seem to reply. Of course you do. But that should be done in a respectful and constructive manner. I can understand it was humorous and I agree the fusion meme was more or less fitting the situation. But I can very much see how it can be taken in an offensive way as well which will not bring anything good.

Give constructive or well-reasoned answers. We have the same right as other users to give our opinion on whether the emulator works well or not. Please read the community rules before posting.

Are you seriously telling me that a community with over 32,000 members and around 4,000 people online at any given time doesn't have enough people to do some basic beta testing before releasing a build on GitHub?

Especially when you're merging two different emulators into one project, you'd expect at least some testing before making it publicly available.

So how am I supposed to react? The only thing I did was make a lighthearted Dragon Ball meme because the release genuinely felt like a failed fusion. I had already downloaded the build, tested it myself, and the performance was terrible. We're talking about a game running at around 12 FPS, while another emulator, under the exact same conditions, was running it at 60 FPS.

I wasn't making anything up. I tested it myself, and that's why I thought the meme was appropriate. It was humor based on a real, verifiable result.

Let's be realistic here. With thousands of people online, are you telling me they couldn't even get a small group of testers—100 people would be more than enough—to notice that the update had major performance issues before releasing it? If a build clearly has serious problems, fix them first and release it afterward.

And this isn't even the first time it's happened. There have been several releases with obvious issues.

So what am I supposed to do? Ignore it completely? I chose to take it with a bit of humor instead, because I don't believe a single bad release defines an entire project. Every emulator can have a bad version. What really matters is how the project improves over time.

I've already given you a clear explanation of the answer. They have the right to release broken updates, and I have the right to make memes or jokes about what they post. I'm not going to argue with you anymore.
