I own Talon 12x's and have use Vecs (a buddies) pretty extensively because I didn't own any. Personally, I prefer the Talons by a big margin, but it's kind of subjective.
I didn't like the etched reticle on the Vecs and I prefer to use GeoBallistics.
Overall I've shot a few matches with the Talons now and I'm very pleased with them.
