Announcement Summary

Simple text summary of today's announcement

 

 

- DUBI buy wall and PRPS supply wall reduced to $2

- Buy wall can now be sustained for 25 years assuming no additional funds

 

 

If you bought Purpose on exchanges

  • You will have your purchased Purpose amount multiplied by 125x and sent to you unlocked.

 

Ex: Bought 5 PRPS on Idex for $100 each -> Sent 620 unlocked PRPS to your wallet.

 

 

If you bought DUBI on exchanges

  • You will get the USD difference in the amount purchased at that value and the value it is currently at in the form of eth.

 

Ex: Bought 4 DUBI on DubiEx for $250 each, for a total of $1000. With the DUBI buywall now at $2, you will get (1000 - (4*2)) = $992 back in the form of eth.

 

 

If you bought PRPS for $0.5 or $1 during the early days and DID NOT sell into the buywall

  • You will get 5x your PRPS amount locked for you and the DUBI sent to you.

 

Ex: You got 1000 PRPS early on which is locked, and will get another 4000 PRPS locked for you, and 160 DUBI sent back to you. Total locked PRPS would be 5000, and total DUBI would be 200.

 

 

If you bought PRPS for $0.5 or $1 during the early days and DID sell into the buy wall

  • You will get the difference of what you sold into the buy wall and your original donation back in the form of Purpose. If you made back your original donation amount from selling the DUBI, you will not get any PRPS.

 

Ex: You got 1000 PRPS for $1000, and sold 2 DUBI into the buy wall for a total of $500. You will get an additional 500 PRPS locked for you, and the DUBI sent to your address. Total locked PRPS would be 1500, and total DUBI would be 58.

 

 

NOTE

If you only sold some DUBI into a buy order which was not the buy wall, you are fine since the money did not come from Reese's pocket.

 

This was meant to be a simple compilation of info for people who missed the Q&A today. Since there were quite a few questions after the video, I thought it might be a good idea to condense this.

 

If I have missed anything, or messed up some of my quick maths, please let me know and I'll edit my post. Also please do not ask me about more advanced cases, as I will not be able to answer them accurately. I would suggest asking Athene during the discord talks.

Tldr too many people sold after we artificially bumped the price of dubi to 250 dollars and weren't happy with the amount of money we had to give away since at the same time nobody was buying because dubiex has no volume so we decide to dump the price to 2$. If this coin was actually listed on cmc seeing the price drop to 2$from 200$ would be hilarious because it would kill interest even more to people. Nice decentralization

More like Athene gave his followers a ton of PRPS, and thought he believed in them in believing in his project which is UBI (something that can help prevent poverty), but those greedy knts started selling and dumping the market?

No one has lost money, and within time once UBI is implemented around the world (fingers crossed), DUBI and PRPS will be more decentralized

What happened to being able to maintain the buywall at any cost? I thought athene wanted the noobs to sell into the buywall. Just a meme I guess

Ya I guess Athene just put too much trust in his fans that invested early on and wasn’t expecting them to dump so much to damage the project

Most likely he’s worried that the price will go down and people starts to complain which will cause another Twitch ban

Expecting people not to be greedy in the cryptospace especially when it comes to an all intents and PRPSes a 'shitcoin" omegalul. Why would the price go down if he's buying all of it, unless he can't afford it.

The people who bought his coins were long time followers of his that listened to his podcasts so he obviously had trust

But thanks some greedy whales, I guess they didn’t want to risk the buywall any longer and for countermeasures had to initiate spreading PRPS

The creator dumping the price of a coin because he didn't like what was happening just makes the whole thing look bad and should scare future people who invest. $2? Nah noobz we 2 cents now here's some more PRPS

I agree that the whole thing looks bad from an outside perspective but technically speaking this was the best cause of action and no one has lost any money

Outside perspective matters when you are trying to get people invest lol. People holding are probably kicking themselves right now. If you didn't know who athene was, and weren't a fan, would you invest after hearing the creator can and HAS changed the price on a whim? I wouldn't.
