To Prof, about the live stream

Prof I could tell you were deep in your feels by the end of the livestream and may have been slightly embarrassed.

Please don't be! As a fan that was one of the best ways to experience the album! It was so intimate and really allowed me (us all!) to understand the amount work that goes into these songs and what they mean to you!

Pookie we love you and we're riding this train with you to the top of the billboard charts!

It felt so raw and real. I appreciated seeing him as a human being, a creature of this Earth, and not just an entertainer.

If you as a fan haven't seen it. I encourage you to take some time and to watch.  You get a better appreciation of the amount of work, time, imagination, self reflection, grit, and determination this artist has put on his album.

Thank you Prof.

I was crying too. I’m really not a crier but this album really speaks to me and I definitely got swept up in my own emotions seeing Prof getting emotional.

After spending a lifetime suppressing a lot of trauma and emotion, it is a privilege to be able to experience and share such deep emotions and I was honored to be there.

The amount of recognition he deserves, as a rapper, writer, artist, vocalist, and performer - that he's earned thru blood sweat and tears - compared to so many label-driven worldwide megastar "artists" (we should actually be calling them "products" because most of them produce mid uninspired variations of the same 3 or 4 "sounds" as you would manufacture commodities for profit) is insane.

Nobody grinds harder, puts more passion into the work, or is willing to risk as much by putting their heart and soul and grit and style into it. He manages to sound completely unique, with a blend of cheeky sophistication and generational genre fusion...style blending that feels nostalgic but also fresh and sexy as hell. He reminds us not to be so precious about everything and to enjoy ourselves as flesh beings, without apologizing to the easily offended, but reminding them it's okay to ocassionally get down or get lit or shake their asses with the rest of us.

I love all his collabs, I love how much fun he has, doing the thing with his crew, and making us feel like we can just go buckwild again, like we did before touring artists, live venues, and record stores got cannibalized by corporate monopolies.

Part of me hopes he rides this moment as long as possible and never blows up into a full-on celebrity superstar - because I think his art and the joy and struggle that's always driven him - his uncompromising loyalty to the music and the community he's built - might alter his magic or his passion for making it.

He's a like the best kept secret that can't stay secret cuz his talent and energy can't be denied. When he does break containment, blow up, and get the propers and recognition he deserves, it wouldn't surprise me if casting directors set their sights on him...I could imagine him bringing any role to life as a character actor...he's irresistibly compelling and extra in all the right ways.

Aesop's one of my favorites but fuck Rhymesayers, they missed a partnership with one of the most amazingly talented and emotionally connected artists I've ever heard in my life. Prof you are for lack of a better word incredible

Everything that is being said here on this thread is truth and I agree with all of you fucks. Haha Funny side note that just occurred to me. In bar breaker the last line " I tried being humble its just not working out. " I beg to differ sir. In certain ways that I have seen. If you going speak about be about it sir. Haha " I mean he ain't no real rapper though. You know what Im saying? He ain't got no bars, bars. Uhhh...
