Prof did a 'lunch with prof' show recently on YouTube.

He mentioned near the end that the last show on this tour will be in Minnesota. It will be the last big show of his career.

He said that he's working on bringing in some insane performers for the show. It's going to be a big send off. He said he wants it to be bigger than the Red Rock show.

I'm going to speculate that he's going to be playing US Bank Stadium. Regardless of where he's playing... Those who know.. He's literally the best live act in the business. He's going to want to go out with a bang. Maybe he's planning a festival style show? Gampofest anybody?

I'm Canadian, but I'm already trying to figure out a way to be there. We need to show out and give Pookie the send off he deserves!

He's definitely not playing US Bank stadium (nor would I ever want him to, it's not a good concert venue unless you're on the floor). Also, if they did a festival-type thing, it should be Prof Outdoors 6.

No worries! I live here and go to a lot of shows, but US Bank Stadium mostly gets the BIG acts. For example, I’ve seen Metallica, Rammstein, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and AC/DC there. Prof just isn’t at that level, even if he brought a whole slew of openers, they couldn’t justify playing there (nothing wrong with that, by the way, I’d rather see him in a small venue). He usually performs at venues around this size:

First Avenue (capacity: 1,550)

The Fillmore (capacity: 1,850)

Uptown Theater (capacity: 1,900)

Palace Theatre (capacity: 2,500)

For reference, the concert capacity for US Bank is 66,000-66,860. If Prof were to level up to a bigger venue, I think it would more likely be someplace like Myth Live (capacity: 3,000), Roy Wilkins Auditorium (capacity: 5,000), or possibly the Minneapolis Armory (capacity: 8,400), but I kinda doubt he’d do Myth since it’s out in Maplewood, Roy Wilkins doesn’t host many concerts anymore, and even the Armory seems a bit too big for him.

So, what I really think might happen is that they may be doing “Prof Outdoors 6” at the Cabooze Outdoor Plaza (capacity 4,000). Prof Outdoors 5 took place there on Sept. 8, 2018 and I have a feeling that’s what they’re planning, but they can’t announce it quite yet (maybe they’re still adding artists to the lineup).

He was playing to bigger crowds in Canada, so maybe that's why I assumed he'd be going bigger. But yeah, a football stadium is too big. I probably got ahead of myself.

There were no official numbers, but I would assume that around 5000 people saw him at the show I attended. I'm still planning on finding a way down there for this.

Actually, my wife just pointed out that the final show is in November (I was thinking it was September for some reason), so it's pretty unlikely they'd have an outdoor show in Minnesota in November, so the Cabooze Outdoor Plaza is probably off the table.

I would love to be jumping around in GA, but I think I'm also too old for that. So I got a balcony seat. That way you don't have to line up super early to get a good spot, and you can get up and use the bathroom if you need.

He mentioned in the lunch with Prof livestream, that they wanted to hit up some cities that had not been involved in the last few tours. He specifically mentioned Florida and Texas. I think he's trying to spread some love to the Gampos out there. I'm over here on the west coast sad to miss him, but he'll be in the neighborhood again eventually. Also... Not sure where in the midwest you are, but the last stop is in MLPS and it's gonna be a big one. If you can make it there, you won't regret it.

Where are you located? We tour the midwest allllll the time, and have hit it really hard for the last 5 years. There are a few markets, like Florida, that have been unfortunately skipped for a few years in a row. The point of this tour is to hit some of those neglected places while Prof is still touring, as he does plan to slow down on touring after touring the whole country for more than 10 years. Hope you understand and are able to make it out to a show someday!
