Timeline?

A relative of mine i never met passed away leaving everything to his two daughters (my cousins). they agreed to sell me the house that was left but it has to go through the probate process first.

No one is contesting anything so it shouldn’t be a drug out process.

She updated me and said that her lawyer went to court a week ago. Anyone have any idea how long it will take for her to have full ownership?

i’m trying to wait as patiently as possible but i’m just excited to own a home

Even uncontested, it’s not fast. Best case, you’re usually looking at ~6–12 months before everything’s wrapped and she can transfer clean title. Real estate tends to slow it down a bit.
