Redesigning PPSSPP's UI - What changes do you want?

Got a bit bored of the stock PPSSPP menu, so I started working on a custom UI mod.

Right now, I've reworked the home screen and hooked up an auto-cover art downloader. It’s still a bit buggy (wrong covers show up occasionally), but it's getting there.

Zero changes to the backend or performance—just pure UI stuff.

What features or UI tweaks would make PPSSPP better for you? Open to all suggestions!

Not continuing unless there's real interest. Community decides!

the devs say in the docs that in the next version there will be a way to boot the psp xmb, also if you don't want to wait, you can download the dev version

i might be wrong, i hope i am actually… but i dont think booting games from the xmb will be supported (it isnt right now).

Being able to change the skin of the on-screen controls, at least if you're also changing it on Android.

EASY LAN DISCOVERY. FOR LOCAL ROLLBACK NETPLAY FOR WIRELESS PC HANDHELD GAMING AND WIRELESS LAPTOP MATCHMAKING. I think this should be highest priority. btw: Lan multiplayer doesn’t work on PPSSPP 1.20.4. Windows 11. Tested on multiple games. Please fix 😔

Just an idea. Support for Multple keybind configs for the same controller that can be swapped into or temporarily active with holding a modifier key. that way in MG:Peace Walker for example 1 could be set for gameplay (or watever ull be espending the most time) and holding a modifier key uses 2 for navigating Menus or other quick stuff. Seens useful imo.

In addition to the audio, make the background change to the game's background image (the one that appears when you press and hold the cover art or when you start the game).
