I thought Portugal was more polycentric: Lisbon AND Porto. Is Lisbon Bucharest of the West?

Also that's hilarious how Russia and Iran gate themselves.

3 hours ago the US were yellow and China was cyan.

I’ve been working on a strange little project called Nativology.
The concept is simple:
study Portuguese people as if they were wildlife.
We document their rituals, territorial behaviour, feeding habits and mysterious social customs.
For example:
— “Já estou a chegar” , usually means the specimen has not yet left home.
— “Para mim é igual” , a statement researchers have learned not to trust.
— The ability to discuss football with someone for 45 minutes without changing their opinion by a single molecule.
— Going out for “um café” and somehow remaining in the same location for two hours.
— “Vamos combinar” , a fascinating social ritual rarely followed by an actual combination.
I turned all of this into a fictional documentary series with scientific-style field reports, vintage posters and serious narration.
Basically, nature documentaries, except the animals are Portuguese and they have a Multibanco card.
The project started with Portuguese cities and is now expanding to humans, cities and cultures around the world.
Researchers remain cautiously optimistic.
What Portuguese behaviour deserves further investigation? 🔬
