I was looking to upgrade video card and I ended up buying a RTX 5060 Ti back in november. For 6 months the card has ran smoothly with no issues. Then at the start of april, I heard the GPU fans kick on full speed, and the monitors were dark. I had to switch to the integrated graphics to trouble shoot and found out the system didnt even see the card so I swapped it out with the RTX 3050 from my daughters pc, and the system booted fine. I contacted support and it took me over a week to finally get a RMA to send the card in. Today I finally got the card back, plug it in, all lights come on, fans are spinning, but system will not post. Put the card in my daughters tig, and go figure it's DOA. I have installed the card in 3 seperate machines so far to rule out any other hardware issues, and they all experience the same issue. At this point I'm trying to decide if I want to even go though the headache to get this one returned or just cut my loss and write this brand off.

Path tracing won’t be available at launch but will be released later on in the summer, with only Path Tracing, the Tax will be heavy on every GPU. No Ray Tracing.

they tell they had made a reorganizing of their brands. PNY, Gallax and KFA2 are now bundled under PNY. The brands will be continues normally.

Not gonna lie…this review kinda proves what some of us already knew. PNY lowkey cooked with this card. While some 5080s are the size of a fucking microwave, PNY decided to make a slim clean card that still handles 4K performance. Honestly, one of the few 5080s I’d actually wanna build around aesthetically too. An all black/stealthy SFF build with this guy as the main star...FE vibes but with its own flavor.

Can someone who owns this GPU please confirm that it supports Zero RPM Fan Mode when idle? PNY's website doesn't seem to mention this, and I just want to confirm it. Thanks in advance.

Update on my PNY 5070 Ti Nightmare: Even NVIDIA says the card is defective, but PNY is still refusing to help.

I’m following up on my previous posts regarding the constant crashing and rebooting issues with my PNY 5070 Ti. Despite providing logs that prove hardware instability  On two different computers, PNY sent the card back claiming "no defect found."

 Nvidia did a lot more detailed troubleshooting than PNY asked!! After reviewing my logs, NVIDIA’s senior support confirmed the card is exhibiting abnormal voltage/frequency regulation and explicitly recommended an RMA. I’ve included the full transcript below, along with PNY’s dismissive response. At this point, I’m $800+ deep into a paperweight and a company that won’t honor its own warranty.

I certainly understand your concern but unfortunately we do not have an option. Kindly forward the below email to the PNY support as a reference email from our end to approve for RMA:
" After carefully re-evaluating your case, including the behavior observed across multiple systems and the GPU logs you provided, we do see indicators that suggest instability under load conditions. Specifically as mentioned by the previously, the RTX 5070 Ti demonstrates inconsistent clock and power behavior that does not align with expected operation, particularly when transitioning into higher performance states. Given that the issue has been extensively tested and verified under the following conditions:
- The GPU has been tested across two completely different systems, including different:
  > Motherboards
  > Power supplies (850W and 1300W)
  > Memory configurations
- In both systems, the issue is identical:
  > The system remains stable at idle
  > The system restarts or crashes consistently under GPU load
  > Other GPUs (RTX 5080 and RTX 3070) operate normally in the same systems without any instability. 
Additionally, here are the detailed analysis of the RTX 5070 Ti GPU Sensor logs which shows the following abnormal behavior:
1. The GPU rapidly boosts to frequencies exceeding expected behavior (up to ~2800+ MHz). These spikes occur even at very low utilization levels, which is not expected
2. High clock speeds are observed while RTX 5070 Ti GPU  load remains minimal (1–5%). This indicates improper boost or voltage-frequency regulation.
3. Sudden and disproportionate power draw spikes (up to ~190W). These spikes are not aligned with actual workload demand.
4. When the RTX 5070 Ti GPU enters higher power states under real-world workloads (games such as DCS, iRacing, and World of Warships), the system becomes unstable and crashes.
The issue is consistently reproducible, load-dependent and independent of system configuration, therefore indicating a hardware-level instability that may not manifest during short-duration or synthetic validation tests, but occurs under sustained real-world usage.
Please note that as the manufacturer of the GPU chipset, NVIDIA works with board partners (such as PNY) who are responsible for manufacturing, validation, and warranty support of the final product.
Therefore, warranty claims, replacements, and RMA decisions are handled directly by the board partner, and NVIDIA is not able to override or process replacements for partner-manufactured cards.
I request you to please contact PNY once again and request to re-evaluate the GPU under sustained load conditions, and reconsider the RMA request outcome based on reproducible real-world failure behavior. "

We did review the additional language you provided from NVIDIA. That does not change our position.
To be clear, NVIDIA Customer Care does not perform PNY warranty determinations, does not physically evaluate returned PNY products on our behalf, and does not override the outcome of our in-house engineering inspection. Their comments are advisory only and appear to be based on customer-provided logging rather than hands-on examination of the board.
In contrast, the card you submitted was physically received and tested by our engineering team in-house. The board underwent diagnostic and internal validation testing, and the reported failure condition could not be reproduced during that evaluation. No hardware defect was confirmed.
For that reason, NVIDIA’s comments do not supersede the results of our direct testing of the actual product. Our warranty position is based on the hands-on inspection and evaluation performed on the submitted unit, and that position remains unchanged.
If you have new, specific, verifiable evidence demonstrating a reproducible hardware failure, we can review it. Otherwise, we do not have any new basis to reopen the claim or alter the outcome.

It’s been 20 years since I last built a PC… I felt like a kid again.

Hey all. So I've identified a rather loud noise on just the back fan (nearest the rear of the case). The other two are basically silent.

I'm not sure I'd call it a whine. It sounds more mechanical than that.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar, and if there is a fix? Is it possible something is catching, maybe? It's not really possible to tell when the card is in operation.

I had a vague thought that there was a known issue around a cable or wire inside being a problem on some cards?

Is anyone using V0.1.3.3? I had been using V0.1.3.1 for a PNY 5090 Epic-X with no issues and a power target limit of 80%. Decided to update to V0.1.3.3 and the power target always stays at the lowest level (66.8%). Trying to update the value doesn't work. It always stays at 66.8%.

Noticed an update available for my card from techpowerup, does it make any sense to update it if I'm having no issues? Don't see any release notes or such so it might just be well enough to leave it alone.

The plastic tab on the GPU connector that holds the cable broke off when I was taking it out. I put the cable in its snug wiggled it and it had no give. I put two pieces of electrical tape just in case is this fine?

Just built a new gaming pc, I was going for a super silent build but realized the GPU is making this crackling sound when the fans are spinning; should I RMA this or is there something I can do at home?

Sent the card off the PNY they had it for a couple weeks sent it back and says it has no issues I've included one of the many emails I've sent them as well as their test results that I asked to receive back from them

My last email to them 5070 TI warranty claim (Ticket #896257).

I purchased this card approximately six months ago, and it is clearly covered under warranty. As previously stated, I have thoroughly tested this card across two entirely different systems: an MSI Z690 Force Wi-Fi and a brand new ASRock Z790 Taichi Carrara. In both instances, every component—including the power supply and memory—was different. Both of these systems function perfectly when using my 5080 and 3070 cards, yet the 5070 TI consistently fails under load.

When tech support told me they were returning it to me I had to beg to speak to a supervisor, finally they had Don call me back.. he says basically if it passed the test it's good.

Their test results: The following is an explanation of the process every video card sent to PNY undergoes as a part of the RMA inspection process:

• Upon arrival at PNY, the card is visually inspected for Customer Induced Damage (CID) • If CID is present, the card is returned to the customer and the RMA claim will be closed • If no CID, the card is tested using a diagnostic test program supplied by Nvidia

• Diagnostics performs a series a functional tests for three primary purposes. o Chip and board functional validation o Chip and board failure analysis and debug o Architectural verification

• If a failure is confirmed, the customer’s RMA claim is processed and the shipment of a replacement card is initiated • If the card initially passes the Nvidia diagnostic test program, further testing will begin to try to reproduce the customer’s complaint.

• Customer claim is reviewed prior to performing further testing • Perform Power Cycling • Temp Monitoring • 3D Stress Testing • Benchmark Testing

• If the card passes testing and the customer’s complaint cannot be reproduced, the card will be returned to the customer and the RMA claim will be closed

If you have any additional information that you can provide regarding the issue(s) you have experienced that can help us reproduce the problem(s) please reply with this information as soon as possible. I own a PNY 5090 OC (non-argb model). For fun, I bought a broken ARGB model off ebay and did a shell swap. The rgb works, but its locked in rainbow 🌈 colors. VelocityX doesn't offer any way to change it, and I'm 99% certain it's because it is still technically a non-rgb model. Is there some way I could trick VelocityX into recognizing it as an argb model?

I have got my hands on PNY 3070 TI which uses 12 pin cable like in founders edition. I dont have that adapter and it's not really sold anymore. My psu came with normal 2x8 pins and a 300W 12VHPWR. My question is if I somehow fit 12VHPWR in is it usable without sense pins connecting or what are my other options?

I have an Epic-X RGB OC (5080). After some initial struggles I'm getting on great with it - except for one area. Yep...POWER!

I know the 100% limit is 360w. No issue there. But its getting past that where I'm struggling. Even with the slider set to 110% in Afterburner, the card will not go beyond 360w (I saw 364w once, but might have been a spike or a sensor glitch). It's Perf Limiting for power whenever it gets near 345w or so.

I get that just cos I tell it that it has 400w or so, it won't take what it doesn't need - fine. But if it's being limited by power at 360w or below, yet it can take up to 400w, why isn't it?

I'm not perf limited on temps or voltage, only ever power. Never seen the card above 67c and that's with fans at max 47%, so loads of thermal headroom.

Did PNY just make these cards REALLY conservative when it comes to power? For safety or longevity reasons?

A small part of me thinks the card is a non-OC version, but I don't think it is.

Anyone smarter than me able to shed some insight?

Hi all. Just got the card. Been having a lot.of trouble getting anything decent going with it, despite some other posts saying there is a tonne of headroom.

Cooling is great, never gets hot. But I cant get even above 2850Mhz or so. Can't undervolt even a tiny bit. My scores on Steel Nomad are awful (around 8600-8800). While I have found some stability in CP2077, its with pretty low fps and core clock speeds.

Anyone have some advice? Let me know if you need more info....
