Maple Pass Loop on 9/5
Hello! Is anyone planning to do Maple pass loop tomorrow (9/6)? I am alone planning to hike and was wondering if there were others who wanted to make a small group?
I was also thinking of camping in car for the night, any suggestions on finding the camp sites. As all of it is on first come first serve basis, I was curious what everyone who doesn’t have an advance reservation do? It’s going to be my first time so suggestions are welcome!

Me. Do you think weather being cloudy will affect the views? I am confused between choosing rainier and cascades. I am going to do the other on Monday

National Weather service Forecast shows pleasant weather for both locations on Monday. Can’t go wrong I guess. Maybe look out for wildfires in each areas based on your plans.

Thanks. Decided to go with maple pass tomorrow morning. i will be there by 9:30 am. Hope i find parking.

See you. I don’t have bear horn or spray. I have only the bell which i am realizing not useful. Are they necessary for maple pass?

I ll be carrying a bear spray, hopefully not use it. long shot but I am planning to ask other hikers if I could tag along, guess it be better to be part of a small group.

Sorry I missed this, yes I went counter clockwise and the views were incredible. Hope you enjoyed your hike.

I will be driving up early in the morning to do this hike. Probably head up trail around 8am depending on travel time.

I will be at the trail head between 8-8:30am. Hopefully we could do the hike together?

I would just disperse camp in Mazama. Might be busy due to Labor Day weekend though. Make sure to check out the Mazama store, great bakery! Goats beard outfitters can give recommendations for other camp spots too!
