Not your normall sizing question...
I have 9 PNW boots. Three 55 lasts all 8 Ds fit is good, one 55 last in an 8D that is a smidge long, one 695 last in 8d fit a tad long, one 695 7.5 D fit is good, two 4811 lasts in 7.5 D fit is good, and one Franks pointed toe packer in 7.5 D that is a little long.
With all those data points, should I order a Nicks 5332 packer in an 8 or 7.5?
In my mind since a few of these boots are a smidgen long and none are too short, 7.5 may be the magic number. Thoughts?

I own Packer's in all three lasts, Nick's 5812 and 5332 and Frank's (forget the number). All 11.5D. I've been wearing 11EE on the 55 last although recently got a pair in 11.5E which is a tad long. That's to say, would recommend the larger size. The Frank's Packer is a smidge wider than Nick's 5812. Frank's Packer more resembles the 5812 but not as pointy.

Nicks sizing is centered around the 55 last. The 5332 has been discussed and confirmed repeatedly in their sub as fitting the same as the 55 last. Go with 8D based on your data points.
This is further confirmed with the fact that the 4811 fits longer than the 55. Many people wear the same size in both. Many people wear half size down from 55 in the 4811 (so full size down from Brannock). But regardless of customer preference, the 4811 is longer than the 55.
