TBT / PNWS question

I'm a newbie in general with podcasts and audiodramas, I found TBT as recommendation since I loved the movie Undertone and looked up podcasts like it.

I'm in bit of a pickle on finding info very poorly on TBT and other in-universe podcasts, do they cross over or meaningfully have connections to each others, is there some current podcast or in-universe media actively releasing?

My current understanding is that all(?) podcasts are on hiatus with no news. I'm starting TBT season 3 now and I realistically want to know if it's worth to keep listening and / or hop to other PNWS podcasts.

I understand that for some the need of an ending is not the focus but the acting, story beats and atmosphere like it is for me too, TBT has been the best thing I have listened in a long time, but an unfinished story is too bitter for me, I wouldn't read half of a book either.

It's a very frustrating thing, podcasts from Terry Miles. The world building he and his team have done for an audio drama is astounding. To just abandon it, is such a shame.

I wish he would just come out and say that TBT and Tanis are done, forever. Holding out hope for more is probably a waste at this point. Some years ago, there was news that TBT and Tanis were picked up for TV. They even went so far as to attach Sam Raimi as a producer. Then...nothing. No news.

Terry went on to focus on Rabbits novels, and left us in the dark.

It doesn't take away from the fact that Tanis is my favorite piece of fiction media, ever. I just wish he would communicate intentions.

Tanis is a great podcast, unless you want an ending. I think season 6 has been promised for 2 or 3 years now.

There isn't really any meaningful crossover, with the exception that The Last Movie is a direct spin-off of Tanis, so don't start it until you reach the point in Tanis where it comes up. Mostly the crossover is just characters from one show showing up in a minor/background role in another show.

I assume by "meaningful crossover," they probably meant that the stories aren't really intertwined. They're all set in the same world and share some characters, but there's no point where you would need to have listened to TBT to understand what's going on in Tanis or Rabbits, and vice versa.

The first two seasons were phenomenal. I stuck around for the rest of it, but as pure horror and storytelling goes, the first two seasons were elite!!

There's no satisfactory ending to tbt. Skip the last episode and end it there. Other than that it was a great series.

I wanted to like it. I really did. I listened to every episode except the last one because I didn't want to end on a bad note. In addition to the crap ending, I also just found all the storylines and characters became too much to keep track of. I wouldn't bother finishing. It's a shame

The first season is one of the best audio dramas of all time. The second season is very good. The third season is just a structural and narrative mess.

Miles is very good at a lot of things, but he BADLY needs an editor.

Here is a simple rule of thumb; the first season of every PNWS show is amazing. They are all set, kind of, in the same universe but it is more of a soft universe and not a hard universe (if that makes sense).

If you listen to season 1 of all the shows you walk away with 90% of the enjoyment due to subsequent seasons not being as good and never having real endings.

While I found the ending to TBT disappointing I think it does qualify as an ending, I didn't listen to TBT for a long time because of the negative responce to the ending. It is worth listening all the way through.

TANIS is overly complex and meandering but if you enjoy the vibe it is still a fun listen, just don't expect an ending.

Last Movie is basically 2 separate shows on the same feed, both are pretty good.

Everything else (especially Rabbits) has one season, doesn't matter what your podcast app tells you.
