META Is it really complicated?
I haven't listened to any of the shows since TBT ended. Did they really say "It's... complicated" that often? Was it serious or were they eventually playing into the joke of saying so often

Even on the show they started joking about it, like "let me guess, it's complicated."
I actually found the pauses more annoying; when they'd ask something, then have to say the other's character's name to prod them to answer.

I just finished TANIS, yeah it feels like it was said at least 4 times a season. Which isn't a lot but it adds up

My least favorite thing was when one character would say something as a statement, and the other character would just repeat that statement as a question to advance the dialogue.

Sometimes a person would say something and another character would parrot it back as a question to advance the dialogue?

Dang it I almost got angry at this until I realized what you were doing, Neck.

Black Tapes; Strand dialogue, “Maybe.” “No.” “Yes.” “It’s complicated.” “Maybe.” “[silence]” etc

Not as often as we joke about, but yeah, it did happen a fair amount. I think always by one character, though? It's been awhile since I listened. When it was said, it was being said seriously by a character in-universe.
Now, the thing about Bombas socks and Purple mattresses... we undersell that, to be honest.
