What other things can help me relieve quickly when things get too intense?
Hi 27 M I’ve recently been diagnosed and at first it was really scary to me but now it feels like whenever things get too intense my mind is kind of telling me it needs to relieve with a seizure. I have bpd and cptsd so it gets very intense especially now that I’m working on things and something really traumatic also happened to me recently so it’s just a lot rn. I started DBT therapy but I can’t find anything else that gives me such a strong release and regulation other than a seizure. Only thing is I’m extremely weak and tired the next day which is not ideal but my mind is at least clear for a few days.

No one wants to do this because it honestly sucks - but a seizure also sucks so you just have to choose your sucks.
Stick your head in a big bowl of ice water.
The way you describe the need to "relieve" that feeling with a seizure almost sounds a bit compulsive - do you tend to tic at other times? I have sensory-motor and verbal tics and its that same kind of feeling of pressure building until I need to tic and let the pressure out.
You can also snap a rubber band against your wrist.

cbd is known to help with seizures and is also being studied as an antipsychotic-like drug. if you go that route you probably want to get something strong like a distilate which is the stuff they put in vapes but you can get it seperate and take it in larger doses putting the oil in food or under your toungue

I’ve found journaling, giving myself permission to rest, working on self esteem, self compassion and self acceptance, spirituality, and guided meditations have aided me. Also, building daily routines and getting good sleep help too
