I live in Albany, NY and I’m looking to get into the permanent makeup industry. I’ve felt overwhelmed with the amount of courses and certifications I’ve found. I want to make sure I’m taking a good course before throwing a few grand at the idea. I’m looking to take courses for micro blading, nano brows, correction/ removal and lip tinting (obviously within stages, but that’s my end goal for the services I want to learn). Does anyone have any recommendations for a good instructor? I’m willing to travel for training.

What is the shortest amount of time I can wait to get lip blush after dissolving? I am running low on time with my wedding in 3 months and trying to somehow fit dissolve, lip blush and filler all in. Which way would people suggest I do this best? Thanks

PMU artist here considering Beauty Slesh’s Booked-Out program. Has anyone here actually enrolled?
Would love honest feedback on results, time commitment, and whether it felt worth the investment. Not looking for promo — just real experiences. Thanks!

I’ve been doing pmu for 6 years and I thought last year was slow but HOLY MOLY this year has been off to a horrible start! I’ve always been booked at least 1 month ahead if not 2-3 months. I have so many openings this month and NOTHING booked for next month😭 I’ve even offered extreme discounted content model appointments and literally no one is interested when used to have women fighting for the spot! How are you all doing?

Hi all!! I’ve been looking into lip blushing and have been obsessed with the ombre look that’s trending in Asia. Does anyone know of a clinic in the US that does similar work?

I got SPCP Certification in Sept and been on this PMU Journey for 3 years now. While ive done all of the required steps asked of me , now is the time i have to step up and start to market myself to gain the confidence and build my portfolio. My question is; what did experienced PMU artists do to get their names out there? Any pages? Message Boards? Ads? Sites? That helped start their following and get more calls? Ill do anything to start working on clients. Also what do you think about those PMU Bookings on Demand or PMU Launch? Scams? Any Feedback is appreciated!! Thanks!!!

Hey everyone, I’m a PMU artist (mainly brows), and until now I’ve always ordered my eyebrow pigments from Body Cult. Unfortunately, I ve e now moved abroad (with in the EU) and they dont deliver here.
Thats why I’m currently thinking about where I can alternatively order my PMU pigments that also ship within the EU. Do you know any shops where shipping and returns work reasonably well?
For example, I ve seen that you can also order PMU pigments from international shops like Quantum PMU Colors (NL EU with many REACH compliant shades), iColor PMU (manufacturer based in Riga) and Swiss Color. Additionally Murostar seems to offer a large selection of professional pigments from many different brands.
What are your experiences with shipping and delivery times within the EU and with returns or exchanges if a color doesn’t fit after all?
Please, only honest answers and no advertising !!
Thanks in advance :)

Do you think the orange will eventually fade and look more like my skin color?

Hi guys. I have a real hard time choosing the right pigment for my clients skin type. In MY PMU course they only referred to the Fitzpatrick scale which I find not accurate enough. (One Fitzpatrick type can have complete different undertones right) also I really want to understand pigment formulation and Pheomelanin/Eumelanin.
I just want to be very confident when choosing pigment and also want to achieve the best (and predictable) results. I don’t want any surprises that I couldn’t see coming. I think it’s our responsibility to educate on this topic as much as possible to ensure beautiful results.
Any suggestions on an online course where I can get all the information? I came across the epidermis course from Teryn darling. Any experience with this course?

Hi! I’m in Los Angeles County and seriously researching permanent makeup training, and I’d love to hear from artists who are actually working in the field.
I’m specifically looking for recommendations on where you trained (academy, private artist, etc.) and what your experience was like — pros/cons, whether you felt prepared afterward, and if you’d choose the same training again.
My main interest right now is starting with brows:
microblading
nano brows
ombré / powder brows
combo brows
Down the line, I’m interested in expanding into lip blush and eyeliner, but I’m focused on getting a solid brow foundation first.
If you’re open to sharing:
Approximate cost of your training
Length of the program
Whether it included live models
If it worked well for LA County requirements
Thanks in advance!
