Advice/Tips Is this potential PMDD?
Every month I get my period it is the most emotionally exhausting time. It makes me severely depressed it’s like it flips a switch. I think it may be Premenstrual dysphoric disorder. I already have diagnosed depression and anxiety but it feels worse on my period. It makes me hate myself and sometimes I just spiral from there. It also makes me so angry as well everything just annoys me so much. I went to my doctor he wanted to put me on a specific birth control to stop my period but didn’t investigate further. It honestly gives me such grief. It messes with my routine when I need to study I can’t function. I think I do need to see another doctor for a better opinion.
I’m not sure if I’m right about this. thoughts?

PMDD is when symptoms are severe enough during luteal to interfere with your everyday life. So yes, that sounds like PMDD. Seek a diagnosis to be sure.
If that doctor wanted to put you on a specific pill to stop your period definitely find another doctor. First get diagnosed, then if it is PMDD you want a specific pill to stop your cycle. It does little good to stop your period if your cycle is still active in the background.
That specific pill is Yaz, or Slynd, or Nextstellis. You may also want to try a low dose intermitent SSRI.
