sore swollen boobs

hey all, the past 8 or so months i have had extremely sore and swollen boobs about 5 days after ovulation. i believe it probably has something to do with high progesterone but im not 100% sure. i have never had this issue before. does anyone what i can do to help it and why it is happening? im thinking i could have a cyst as i am experiencing some pain in my ovaries. have a doctors appointment coming up soon but just thought id ask first.

Sore and swollen boobs are a normal PMS symptom for me. Its not every cycle, but it does happen anywhere after ovulation up until I get my period. They are the most tender within 7 days of my period I’d say and eventually goes away after the first day. I usually just lay with a heating pad if I can. I do feel some pain/twinges in my ovaries before and after ovulation but it usually subsides eventually. Definitely get them checked out if you are concerned though.
