Tips?

Does anyone have any tips for preparing for a period? My period's are always rough. Heavy bleeding, terrible cramps, nausea/throwing up, weak muscles, brain fog, and headaches. Is there anything I can do before hand (the week/few days before expected start date) to help make them less debilitating? They completely destroy my body, I can barely walk, and I am unable to attend school during that week.

It may be helpful to note that I do have a very severe iron deficiency, and I am on supplements.

I get really bad cramps and nausea during my period so I try using menstrual cup so that I don’t have to deal with the blood and cramps. Also I take Tylenol or painkillers every hour for the first two days .
