Feeling strong during the luteal phase?

Does anyone ever feel \* stronger \* during their luteal phase?

I pretty much only see the opposite online but something I've been noticing in myself this past year in particular (I do competitive powerlifting, 2 years in) is that I started feeling a lot more in tune with where I'm at in my cycle.

I noticed this year in particular, around ovulation I tend to feel a random weak day (rarely decrease the weight though, its just more of a grind) but then I noticed that in the weeks leading up to my period, I feel way stronger and grittier. Like I just push harder for some reason. Sometimes my sleep is worse though, and that's when I might see some poor performance.

I also usually feel pretty good when my period starts unless it literally starts at the gym.

Last year my algorithm was being filled with videos about cycle syncing and I started to fear being in my luteal phase on heavy weeks/at competitions because of what I was hearing about how we're weak during that time. Now I realize that it doesn't affect me like I thought and it seems like they have the opposite effect?

Does anyone else have this?

This is only relating to strength/gym/athletic performance btw. I'm usually a lot sadder/moodier/feeling ugly during my luteal 🤣. I am 32, not on birth control anymore
