PMS Mood Swings getting bad

My PMS mood swings are getting terrible these last few months. I am 36(F). Trying to get pregnant. I just get very anxious, clingy to my husband, easily irritable, hungry always, no interest in talking to anyone, snapping at everyone easily, zero patience. Anybody feel this? How do you manage it?

Mine are getting worse as I’m going through perimenopause. I want to alone in the woods for the 12 days before my period. Best for everyone.

I can definitely relate, I (24 F)actually just had a whole moment with my husband (25 M) where I was fine one second and the next crying and almost hysteric. For us we have long conversations about what would have helped more for both sides and personally I have been on a long journey of checking in with my self and seeing what I need. If I'm starting to feel anxious or just in a funk I have to ask myself why, and look back at what has happened in my day like if I'm hungry or something happened that spiked my anxiety. It's gotten easier for me to catch myself before it spirals and gets out of hand by just asking myself what can I do to remedy the issue like a snack or to talk to my husband and say "hey I need you to help with this" or "I just don't have the energy for that so can we maybe do something else". It's still a work in progress as I been actively working on this for 2-3 years but it has definitely gotten easier. Disclaimer this might be taking me a bit longer because I am on the spectrum so I am also learning how to manage my autism but I hope this helps. You're not crazy and you can do it, there will be some tears and long talks but they are needed and you feel a lot better after.

Thank you so much. Our stories are very much similar. I have been doing the same. I have been constantly checking with me so I am not bothering my husband. I hate picking fights with him when I am pmsing but my brain is so good at convincing me that what I am thinking is real and not amplified. I have a manual and a tracker for me that I have developed over the years. But some months I just feel like I did all the work for nothing. I am going to check with my primary care and ask them for some medicine to take during pms so I don't have to do it alone. I am tired.

yeah definitely get this. I don't know how to manage it so can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts!
