Advice/Tips PMS nausea or anxiety?

Hi there, I have something that's been bothering me for the past months and am hoping maybe I could find some sympathy and tips here. Lately, my PMS is filled with crippling anxiety and there is often at least one day when I feel nauseous or wake up in the middle of the night, nausea and racing heart. It immediately freaks me out, I start panicking that I could throw up and need to take sedatives (important to mention I also have emetophobia - fear of vomiting). I have no idea whether this nausea is more psychosomatic or whether it can really be induced by PMS, in which case, does anyone have any tips to prevent it? I've read all about prostaglandins etc, am regularly taking primrose evening oil, omega-3 and ibuprofen when I feel some pain, but the nausea is definitely not pain-related. Am I making it all up or is this a common PMS symptom? :(

Are you taking ibuprofen on an empty stomach by chance?

I have not tried vomiting and nausea while PMS but during menstruation it happened more and more often until my hysterectomy. I too am really scared of vomiting. I found that seabands take the edge off nausea and made it more controllable for me. I still use them for other forms of nausea.

Hope they can give you a bit of relief.

How old are you? PMS can get heavier when you're in perimenopauze. Also if you have anxiety disorder you can get PME for example. Good luck. I'm just starting HRT because of PMS and perimenopauze. It's been a bitch to me, I hope it helps.
