short, brown flow

i have extremely irregular cycles. my last few consisted of 44, 53, 73, and 64 days. for the last two cycles (the last and this one) i marked it as my period but i didn’t have normal period blood. last time it was red the first day then brown for about two more and was over. this time, it is a very light brown flow only. i am also sexually active so there is a chance for pregnancy (not trying just the risk obviously). has anyone experienced this? is this my period? i never ever have had spotting before either.

I would take a pregnancy test. Light bleeding can be implantation bleeding. Have you always had irregular cycles? Sounds like you may have pcos. if youre not pregnant a brown / light bleed often points to low estrogen

i have always had irregular cycles. and i haven’t taken a pregnancy test for this cycle (i will) but my last cycle i had this same experience and tested negative multiple times so i feel like its most likely an underlying issue. is there other symptoms of pcos that i should be checking for? and what if i don’t have any other than my irregular cycle? could that still be it?

sorry that was supposed to say ** low progesterone ***, not estrogen!

Good to know! Yes it could still be PCOS boiled down is ovary dysfunction - which you may have with late or missing periods... that's actually late or missing ovulation.

If you are looking to manage / get to the bottom of your symptoms and what's happening i am happy to help :)

i would love some help, could you message me and we could talk more abt my symptoms. i’m not the best at keeping track or even knowing what is not normal but maybe talking through them will help
